Connies is a great place in Pontchatoula La.!! Been in business 40 years now! Me and my work crew discovered this place 2 summers ago while working nearby, and we have eaten here every time we are back working in Pontchatoula. The food is homemade, and so good! Brian is a fantastic waiter and has good recommendations and always friendly and smiling. Some of the best home cooked food you will find at a great price! I recommend whatever is the special of the day. Ive had chicken spaghetti, beef stew over rice, pork loin with mashed potatoes and gravy. You can even get a side of beets with your meal! Lol a great place to eat. I cant say enough good things about it.!

It doesn't look like much but, the staff was nice, I had the bacon cheddar jalapeno burger and it was Delicious, it would have been nice if the bun had held together a little bit better, but it did not in any way take away from the flavor, Patty was cooked well and still juicy, and between it, the bacon and the fried jalapenos there were plenty of textures to enjoy. The sweet tea could use some work but I'm fairly picky when it comes to Sweet tea so that may be on me LOL it was definitely drinkable though. Not usually out here but even though prices are a little steep I wouldn't be opposed to stopping by next time I'm in the area.

Very old timey vibes inside and my fiancé that can be pretty picky when it comes to places to eat even said she loves the vibe! Food was great homemade food and our server was so kind. Deffinatly decided we’re coming back.
Ive always had good food there. And the portions are huge. Its not a fancy place, all are welcome. There food is consistently good. The owner ,her son and staff are always wonderful. They greet everyone. My family loves this place. Me to.

I was so shocked! The building looks so small and not really inviting, but once you're inside, everything changes! BIG hospitality, GREAT food, OUTSTANDING service from Brian, and a cute little homey feel restaurant. We just moved to Louisiana and are really looking forward to going back. I wanted to take pictures of the food to post, but I forgot before we ate it. LOL.
