Fine Thyme Catering recently catered my daughters wedding event in collaboration with Chesterton Square Event Venue. We did receive good reviews on the food, I would not know personally due to several mishaps and the craziness of the night we (parents of the bride) did not have time to eat. The reason for the 3 stars has more to do with not following the instructions for the buffet opening as discussed and agreed upon in earlier. conversations/communications. I honestly believe that this is a shared responsibility between the Venue Owner and Fine Thyme Catering. I am extremely disappointed in the fact that either of them have not taken responsibility for the issues that were a big impact on the nights event. I purposely waited before writing a review b/c I wanted to contact them first and see if they would take responsibility. The caterer asked for my number to reach out and I supplied it twice... nothing. Here is what happened, after planning this event for over a year; we made decisions that we felt would help our event move smoothly for our guest, not having them wait for dinner (we were opening the buffet during the cocktail hour), something that was discussed with the caterer and he said he would prefer, and by doing so it would take the initial influx off the bar and most of our guest would have eaten during this time allowing time for the bride and groom to eat privately prior to making an entrance, etc. and would allow us to go straight into the toast and open dancing after the traditional dances, etc. We had a note printed on 200 ceremony brochures that our guest were given explaining that the buffet would be open for them immediately. This note was also given to the caterer and venue coordinator. We also had other plans in place to take pressure off the bar that had nothing to do with the caterer, a champagne wall. was supposed to be up but the venue neglected that as well. So...the buffet was not opened as instructed, we did not find out until it was too late. In. turn the bar lines were ridiculously long, and we lost approximately an hour of the event due to now having to formally open the buffet line, wait on everyone to eat and shift the timeline, etc. The catering was just one of the mishaps of the night due to just not following instructions that were communicated in great detail. I will say that the venue owner/coordinator told us she would be acting as day of coordinator and coordinating with vendors as part of that, which is why I believe she bears a lot of the responsibility along with so many other ways in which she failed us... sigh. Traditionally, a"go package" is usually sent back with the parents and bride and groom after the event, except we never got that either because it was sent back with guest that were being. transported back to the hotel where they had rooms blocked. It was just the icing on the cake. We drained our savings to pay for this wedding and made detailed plans to avoid the very things that went wrong. I did not get to enjoy my daughters wedding b/c of all of the mishaps, a day lost that we can never get back. I myself work in the service industry, and when I do wrong (which I have, I'm human) I take responsibility. Having INTEGRITY means something to me. I'm saddened that it is lost on so many others. They got paid and that's that is the way it seems... hhhmmm.

Upon initial contact, they provided us with a detailed scope of services that helped us to develop a timeline and know how to support their team on the wedding day. During the event they went above and beyond to ensure the event ran smoothly way beyond their expected services. Food was set on time and absolutely DELICIOUS! They were well prepared and left the space clean and tidy 🥂

Fine Thyme catered my daughter's wedding and the food was INCREDIBLE! Tye wedding was April 22 and I STILL have people calling me to tell me how awesome the food was. seafood pasta, gumbo, boudin stuffed porkloin...yum!! They did such an awesome job and plenty food and was kept warm. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! ♡♡♡♡♡

Fine Thyme Catering did an excellent job for my granddaughter's wedding. We had so many compliments on the food. The food was delicious. So many good selections; my favorites were the meat pies & the shrimp pasta. I recommend to anyone needing catering services; you just can't go wrong.

Every person at my wedding had a huge plate of food in front of them, I received countless compliments on how great the food was and how amazing the catering staff was. The owner himself made custom plates for several of my guests who asked and there was plenty of food left for my bride and I the next day. Highly recommend them for any catering need you may have. Wedding was on 6.12.2021. The food was amazing!! It was delicious!! All the wedding guests were impressed with how good the food was. The Chef was so nice and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mr. and Mrs. Poche as your go to catering for any occasion! My wedding was catered by them on 9/21/19 and can I just say how fantastic and smooth they made our day go. Choosing a caterer to cater our wedding was so easy, they were highly recommended to us and they were our first pick! They were very understanding with our needs/wants and made everything run so smoothly! Our guests were fascinated with the variety of food we chose from and were even more amazed by how delicious EVERYTHING tasted!! Of course my husband and I hardly ate that night but they both made sure to set aside multiple boxes for us along with our families. I will always recommend them to anyone who’s needing catering services! Thank you both so much for making our day even more perfect than what it was!
