Every meal I purchased at MillSide was absolutely great until today. Today, 04/01/2024 my wife and I ordered our usual a seafood platter. The soft shell crab is out of season so I took extra shrimp and oysters. But when the meal came the catfish were fresh fried and perfect. However the shrimp and oysters were left over from the weekend and the refried oysters were burnt and hard. And the shrimp were so dry and hard they looked like the cook tried to warm them a microwave. Tomorrow I will talk to the owner to see what resolution we get for being served food cooked 1 or 2 days earlier. Hope to give a better review tomorrow.
Good classic Cajun restaurant. Nothing fancy but the foods good and the beer is cold and the people are nice

Delicious crawfish and fried seafood platter :) the hamburger needed some more seasoning but the portions are great for the price.Everyone was very attentive to us and extremely kind. Definitely coming back for another visit when back in LA!!

This is always an option when you want fried seafood, the platter is terrific. It comes with the softshell crab. The weight staff is very nice and I love their club sandwich.

Ever since Bootsy’s closed, I’d say this is Ponchatoula’s best poboy. The shrimp poboy was more expensive than the sausage poboy, but that’s not usual. It was totally worth it and took no time at all for our meals to come out.The staff were very courteous too! It’s a good over local restaurant, but I like to stop in to grab a poboy on the way home.
Millside is definitely a diamond in the rough. Had not the Park Ranger recommended it, we wouldn’t have stopped and would have left when walked in. So glad we stayed. The food is WONDERFUL and the servings are huge. Never in our lives did we ever think we would have more oysters than we could eat fried to perfection. The salad was crisp and cold. We chose to have the mashed potatoes. The serving was huge and the best mashed potatoes we have had anywhere anytime in 25 years of traveling.Service was attentive and friendly.Do yourself a favor and try Millside.

My food was excellent. I had a combination fried fish and shrimp plate with french fries and a side salad. I was with two other people. One person was not as happy with their meal. That person had the seafood stuffed baked potato. The third person also had a fish and shrimp plate and they were very happy with that.The service is very friendly. The atmosphere is extremely casual.Very convenient location.
