First time eating here I wanted to try some Louisiana food. The lady behind the counter was really nice, recommended the Jambalaya topped with gumbo. She said that was their specially. It was fantastic! I would have gotten more if i didn't have a long trip ahead. The dining area and restroom were really clean. There is a little parking area for Semi trucks.
This is my first time eating here. The staff were all really nice. I ordered the jumbalaya and it was pretty good the chicken was really tender and flavorful. I thought it could use a little more chicken because it was mainly a bowl of rice. But I think it's worth checking out they have alot of options and very nice people! I was given an extra bowl of jumbalaya to take home bc they had given me the wrong size bowl by mistake so that was pretty cool.
Actual name is Thee Jambalaya Spot. Should be changed on Trip Advisor. Lunch portions are huge. Great jambalaya, white beans, and potato salad like my moms. Not full of pickles which over-power taste. This is a hidden gem on Lobdell Highway. My only wish is that there was one near my house in BR.
