First time i got a shrimp poboy which came on what i would call an oversized hot dog bun and bun was mildly fresh, dressings were moderate and shrimp was good so overall ok (2star food) and unlikely to purchase again. 2nd time there got a cheeseburger whose bun was fresh, dressings were well portioned/flavorful, patty was good size and good tasting overall good burger (4star food). I will keep sampling their food over time as i work in the area. Service was fast but not fast food fast (i prefer as it is IMHO an indicator of food quality/freshness) and friendly. The ‘atmosphere’ is simple, which is what it should be IMHO as dumping money into posh this or that isn’t going to make the target audience care much, what is far more important is cleanliness and good condition. My opinion this place has good potential and likely more good food on the menu albeit at least one item (shrimp poboy) needs a little help :-)

Greatest burger in Ascension! Owner is a cool dude too!

Best burgers around! I'm so glad I found them and tried it out. Staff was very upbeat! This is now my #1 place to eat a good burger.

They seem to be struggling financially. They CHARGE you to use a debit card. Food is ok. But I was unable to order ahead (phone just rings) maybe they need more help? Inconvenient. Think “soup nazi” from Seinfeld. “No soup for you!”

The burgers were decent could have been a little more seasoned. Anyone who stops here I'm warning you I did not have a good bathroom experience the toilet seat was left up and it was disgusting it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks to a month... It's really gross and unacceptable for a business to present themselves like that

Frank and his entire team continue to deliver the best burgers around. They are so courteous and thankful for your business.
They make incredible malts as well… my favorite-banana(real, not flavor) and walnut. So good. Give it a try. I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Simple, super clean cafe. I ordered a dressed cheeseburger, fries and drink. Well prepared and assembled burger, easy to eat, good flavor and not at all greasy. Like homemade. Good fries. Uncomplicated menu, bring the family. Ordered at counter, brought to table. Ask for mustard when ordering. Only downside is foil pack ketchup and no hot sauce, salt and pepper on table. Reccomended.

Not a luxury fast food, but definitely one of the best.
The sandwich and the fries are generously sized and freshly made.
The Burger is one of the best I've had in a while (if not the best). I was welcomed with a big smile and a cheerful face.
Bottom line, I'm so glad I changed my route to stop at the Griffin Grill and I'd definitely do that again when I'm back in Baton rouge/ Geismar area.

I had the cheeseburger and it was really good. There was a bit of a wait but I am not sure if it was exaggerated in my mind because I was starving having had to fast for many hours proceeding my surgical procedure, but at least it was a really good burger. Now I will say that the onion straws were a bit overdone, but still not bad tasting.
