The Blues & BBQ Juke Joint

We decided to try this spot while in St. Joseph, LA visiting family. This quant locally owned restaurant did not disappoint! The decor is vibrant and inviting, we were immediately greeted by Rhonda who gave us the run down of the menu. My husband ordered a bacon burger with fries and I have buffalo garlic wings with fries. I have to tell you, our food was delicious! Bathrooms were clean and so were the common areas. We will be back next time we are in town from Houston.

OH MY GOD! The first thing that hits you as you walk in the door...the smile from the sweetest lady this side of my wife, my mama, and my grandma. I felt like I was home from a long travel, and thats all before we sat down. Now then, let's talk about this food. Wife and I, with the help of our two puppies, decided that in order to get a good taste of this BBQ we should get the 3 meat plate (Brisket, Pulled Pork and Chicken) and the 6 Bone Rib plate. They each came with 2 sides - Hushpuppies, Potato Salad, Baked Beans and Coleslaw. The food came out in a proper amount of time, but I tell you I don't know how they got that much love into that food. The meats were perfection and the sides, oh my. The angels sang, I promise you. I went into pay the tab and asked who cooked this food. They called yet another sweetest lady out and I had to hug her and thank her for feeding me like my mama. Go here - make a journey to here - go out of your way to get here. You will not regret it.

Yesterday was our first visit, but it will definitely be on the list of places to go when in St Joseph. The brisket, the pulled pork, the smoked chicken, the sausage and the smoked boudin we're all very delicious. If you're in St Joe you should absolutely stop.

These ladies ( Brenda and Rhonda), know how to do it . Some of the best ribs and brisket I’ve ever had. We got lucky when we googled this spot don’t pass it up if you’re in the area. Well worth going out of your way.They have a fantastic outdoor party area with a stage for live blues.

Food was excellent. Great chicken wings. Fish was excellent. Dining outdoors on the back patio was peaceful and perfect.

We recommend this restaurant for the great food, but also for the hospitality! We are traveling through on a short stay in the area and Rhonda was a delight to visit with. The person waiting on us and the pit boss we met did an exceptional job also. We plan to stop back for some live music and more great food over Memorial Day weekend next year. Thanks B & BBQ Juke Joint for sharing great food and great hospitality...we will stop again, and we will spread the word.

I just ordered a pulled pork loaded potato… it is quite possibly the most delicious thing I have ever eaten from a BBQ place. 100% recommend!!

Delicious food! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend! I had the pulled pork sandwich…I’ve never had pork so tender. My mom had the loaded potato…it was fabulous!!!

Barbecue is great. The new addition of wings is a great complement to their menu. Love the Buffalo Garlic. Highly recommend!
