I love seafood? But there is something about boiled seafood that just drives my taste buds wild. Boiling and seasoning seafood is a skill and art that can not just be luck. Ordered the shrimp and it was to perfection!! Spicy, hot, fresh!! Excellent choice to drive in and get a plate of perfection in this little town. I must warn you the line can get very long during Lent but soo worth the wait!!

Good crawfish. However it seems like they are only open for a few days out the year. And it's over priced. Being st.martinville only got 5 food joints in the area they would make thousands if they stood open during crawfish season.

If you are looking for quality Large crawfish, then look no further. The shell shell is a Togo only crawfish eatery. The size and quality of their crawfish is second to none. They are boiled to perfection and seasoned so mom dad and even the youngsters will enjoy each one. They are very fast and friendly. Located in cades grocery parking lot set in the back. Definitely worth the drive Definately satisfying ! If i could give 6 stars i would.

This is one of many area "open seasonal only" take-out only boiled crawfish & shrimp places. As this is the only one very near our home, I'm very familiar. As these places go, this one is good to excellent. Slightly expensive, but always high quality. I hear that one could also get graded crabs here if ordered well in advance. Recommend calling-in order first, as the waiting lines can be very long, especially Friday & Saturdays. Only open late afternoons & early evenings during crawfish season. Easy parking, full service grocery market on same parking lot. Easy in-&-out. Caveat: Take a waterproof ice chest or similar, as their excellent go-packing sacks can leak. Call-ahead orders can specify level of seasonings desired, may take a while if ordered in person. Nice local folks, super quality & consistent. We love the convenience. Rick
