St. John Restaurant

This was our first time going. Heard good things, so we decided to give it a try. They did not disappoint. Not only was the food amazing but the staff was amazing. Definitely would recommend this place and we will definitely be back again.

I've seen several post about The St. John Restaurant, so we decided to give it a try last night. Both my husband and I each got a crab dinner (house salad with crab, crab gumbo, fried crab claws, stuffed crab, crabcake boulette, and crabmeat au gratin). The price was $31.99 and it was well worth it. The amount of crab you got in each item was seriously surprising, there was no skimping on the crab meat!! Everything was delicious and flavorful. Carli, our waitress, was super sweet and helpful. She was moving like lighting taking care of us and probably 7 other tables in the back section. We got the pecan pie and creme brulee for dessert and both were phenomenal. We can't wait to go back! The first picture is the gumbo, that is a spoonful of crab meat, there were another 2 or 3 spoonfuls of crab meat in there! Third picture is the au gratin, that is a ton of crab meat sitting on top of it!!(it got flipped over because I took it to go lol) The owner also came talk to us and he was very kind and wanted to make sure we enjoyed everything and were taken care of! 100/10!!

The food is excellent and the service was great! Ask for Bella. She was OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend this place.

First off we have eaten here on a few occasions. Love the food. Love the people. Love the atmosphere. However tonight was not a good night…..

They couldn’t cook my wife’s filet mignon properly. Not once. Not twice. Not even on the third attempt. She was so upset. This was our 14th wedding anniversary celebration dinner too.

Furthermore, The server nor the chef offered to remove it from the bill, knowing it was never prepared to her request, not even close. I feel it is not my place to ask for a dish that was never consumed to be removed from my bill, that is their responsibility and proper etiquette. $30 uneaten filet sat on the table as we left. Wasn’t edible. Very disappointed. Not what we expected.

Stop taking to go orders at 8:30, but I called at 8:27 and the lady refused to take my order. She said it was “close enough” and was very rude. Will never give this establishment my money.

Crab cakes were a bit greasy and had shells. I heard great things but left underwhelmed.

What an amazing restaurant ! Huge selection of delicious meals, veggies grown fresh next door in a green house and beef raised on owners ranch locally . Super nice staff , super clean environment and surly is the essence of authentic Cajun food !! A must go !!!

Probably some of the best Cajun food around. And I'm a pro about Cajun food. Great atmosphere. Not too loud. They use fresh veggies from their hydroponic farm just next door. Amazing!

The service was absolutely stellar! My wife and I went there for our anniversary and it was as if the staff were just as happy as we were. The Food was every bit as good as the service. We were told about how they grow their own vegetables that tasted amazing. This was easily the best crab cake I've ever eaten. As a Lafayette Louisiana native that says a lot. I'm only disappointed i haven't found this restaurant sooner.
