The rice was good , but the chicken was very dry .
My plate rice was great but my beef was overcooked !

This place is amazing, the food is delicious, the coffee is exquisite, and I can't describe how good the tiramisu tastes. You have to come and eat it.

People talked about this place, and I finally came to visit. I visit Shreveport about once or twice a year and now this place is going to be one of my regular stops. The food was all delicious and the menu is expansive. This place is a Shreveport Staple for a reason, and we’re looking forward to our next visit.

I ordered the Chicken Shawarma, and it was a huge meal! I also ordered an extra salad but didn’t realize the shawarma already comes with a Greek salad bowl. The food was delicious, and they offer free Coke refills. Will definitely go back next time!

We dined in around 4:30pm. We were the only ones at the time.
We ordered the Athena sampler for appetizer. It was delicious. Falafel and kibby were seasoned very well!! Hummus and other dips were great. We had the salads before our meal and the dressing was excellent. For main course, we ordered the gyro/chicken shwarma combination and the steak kabob.
The chicken shwarma is on the dry side and needs some more flavor.
The gyro was excellent with lots of flavor.
Steak kabobs were cooked to a perfect medium and seasoned well. The rice was nice and moist. Overall a great meal and we will be back.

This is our go to place for Greek food!

My personal favorite is the Lamb Lula (Kufta) plate - the meat is always so rich and flavorful. It never disappoints. The plate comes with hummus/pita, rice, and a side salad - and all of it it delicious, down to the herbal salad dressing. We always add an additional order of hummus and pita bread because we can never have enough of it. The hummus is absolutely delicious. Nothing else I’ve tried in Shreveport compares to it.

They also serve a Lebanese ice tea that has a beautiful and light flavor with an herbal edge. A wonderful summertime drink!

Even though it is hot outside, it is freezing cold in the restaurant. Too cold to enjoy. Had the shrimp pasta, too much pasta not enough shrimp. My husband tried something new and he didn’t like it. Great customer service and very clean atmosphere.

This was my first time to Athena, which came highly recommended due to the food, service, and bonus hookah lounge in the back. In Shreveport for a birthday, and the food did not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and the steady stream of to-go orders coming in. The highlights were fried cheese, salad, and lamb as well as the hummus. Everything was delicious and as an added bonus the hookah lounge was enjoyed- especially being my first time. The staff were incredible hosts and will answer any questions you may have with patience and politeness. I will be back!
