First time going there and the food was delicious. I got the dressed up gator with a cup of gumbo. My wife got the bienvenue with a cup of gumbo. All delicious and the bread was really good quality. We would definitely eat here again! The gumbo could be spicier, but that just our preference.

You almost miss this little place driving by, but I'm glad we didn't! The people here were super friendly and helpful. I don't often give 5 stars to small deli where you order at a counter instead of sit down service, but my sandwich was perfect. I had the bayou St. John, which is a French dip sandwich but with grilled mushrooms and onions. YUM!! We also had a Cuban sandwich on panini and potato salad. Both were excellent. Often potato salad is either too sweet or too mustardy. This was the perfect blend. Glad we found this little place. If we are ever in Shreveport again we will definitely stop here again.

Just left bayou deli, first time going. And I WILL be back. I normally don't write reviews but this place was great! Great food, I was in and out. Great service, the cook in the back even said hi, very friendly, very clean and welcoming when you walk in. I got the chicken and sausage gumbo and a slice of cherry pie, which was exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be back!
