I should have known with that no cars at a BBQ place on a weekend means it is not good. The atmosphere was truly not pleasant. The elderly gentlemen wanted to know what I wanted immediately. After I placed my order he immediately wanted me to wait in my car. Which made me really wonder about what was going on here. I didn’t get what I ordered. I The rib tips weren’t freshly cooked neither was the other sides. I gave the place a try in spite of the red flags, but sadly it was very disappointing.

Recent reviews are 1's, reviews from 3 or more years ago are 5's. Thus the current rating of about 3, the average of the old and the new reviews. I wanted to like this place, the old man there was friendly, business-like and helpful. But he and the cook seemed to have a tiff and the cook left 2 hours before they closed. The food I got was incredibly bad - the ribs were burnt to a crisp and had virtually no meat on them. Same with the chicken. The potato salad was rancid and the beans had a nasty taste to them. If I had eaten more than a couple of bites, I'm sure I would be sick to my stomach later tonight.

ZERO STARS!! There are soooo many different kinds of bugs everywhere. Thanks to all the reviews, I told the man I would have to try it inside the dirty buggy place. I couldn't put it in my mouth. It was hard, burnt, dried up ribs, covered in some kind of sauce from a bottle. I will be reporting this place to the Department of Health. There is no way this should be open for any kind of service. Because today is the 4th of July, I thought it would have been crowded & it's'open til 10p. He has a help wanted sign on the door.... He needs a lot more than help it needs to be double scrubbed inside & out. He cursed me out when I asked for my money back. Where is his family??? So sad ?

Unfortunately, Big D fell off hard. My Ribs were mediocre and my potato salad and beans tasted rancid. The brisket was passanle but there wasn't much for what was essentially a $20 dinner with 2 inedible portions. Really sucks because I loved this place, but I may have to look elsewhere now

I went about 2 months ago got red beans rice & pork steak was craving bbq it DID look good but as I inspect the food the meat seemed recooked with old sauce on it , my red beans had bugs in it I wasn’t going to leave a review but im still mad about spending 18$ for something I didn’t eat , the only thing eatable was the bread but I didn’t eat that either the inside of the place looked SOOO unsafe i pray this man gets help to save his business

Big mistake. Bbq sauce was ketchup. Couldn’t take more than a couple bites. Wasted money. Should have read the reviews before going here.
