Cassandra's on the River

I enjoyed the Rosie experience. She's a great server. Food is good and hot. Prices are reasonable. The atmosphere feels comfortable. If you like good southern soul food cooking this is the place to visit. I will definitely be coming back. I love the fact that you can sit outside and chill while you're eating. My mom really enjoyed the variety of food served. I am also adding to this review that I purchased my first Thanksgiving dinner from Cassandra's the food was to die for. The turkey was fried to perfection. I purchased a small order that could feed at least 6 people. Well worth the price. I will definitely not be cooking Thanksgiving dinner again.

This was a great restaurant. My complaint was the wait but it looked like they were short staffed so I didn't hold it against them. I had the Atlantic salmon and it was delicious!! I ate every bite! Everyone else loved their food too. I love the decor and they had a live band that we enjoyed. Perfect place for date night, Birthday dinner, or if you just want to enjoy good food.

We were visiting Shreveport and walked to Cassandra's from our hotel for lunch one day....food was DELISH and we had the best waiter!!! Would highly recommend Cassandra's!!!!

Delicious gumbo, red beans, rice and sausage! HUGE grilled shrimp salad. Wonderful decor too. Super sweet attentive staff. Definitely returning!!!

First time I have eaten at Cassandra's. The food was wonderful! Definitely a soul food and more restaurant! I enjoyed the beef tops and rice ,with collards, cornbread and fried okra! My grands tried the chicken and waffles and an appetizer! We had a very attentive waiter and enjoyed sitting in their patio area.

Parking: Weekend parking was free.

We stopped in for lunch on a weekday. The location is great, we shared the catfish plate on a bed of shrimp etouffe and it was amazing, perfect size for two people. The drinks were good as well. The service and atmosphere was a little lackluster, however. We almost felt like we were in a mall food court rather than an upscale riverfront restaraunt.

First I would like to say I've never been to this establishment. I came down to Shreveport from Dallas on business. A friend of mines brought back some food while I was at a conference for me to eat. And I swear to this day I'm still missing 2 fingers because this food was delicious lol ! When I come back I'll swing by to patronize your eatery. Continued success!

Gave them a second chance & will not be back. Hopefully another local business owner will move in there whenever they eventually have to close their doors. Until then, I will continue to send my clients elsewhere.

Had the worst time trying to make a large reservation. The fee kept going up with each call and then to find out it didn’t count towards your food was disappointing. We opted to go somewhere else. The place was cute inside but the service I experienced was not good. I saw another family having to wait to go eat because the restaurant closed between lunch and dinner. I never saw that on the website and that couple was upset.
