If you like history and you like shooting pool, The Cub is one of Shreveport’s oldest landmarks, and don’t forget to grab your cold one while you’re there!

The food was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. The service was incredible. This has now become one of her main spots to eat. We loved it.
We were traveling from TN to visit in-laws. We got to the restaurant and they had no chicken, no shrimp, no twice baked potatoes and tea wasn't made. Bread wasn't ready. Waited a long time for drinks. We also ordered our food and I ordered a ribeye rare and it came back medium well. They also messed up my sister in laws steak, my brother in law's steak my wife's steak and my mother in law's steak. Food was tasty but very disappointing that we didn't get what we asked for and the fact that y'all were out of everything. Will I come back? We might would give it another try but not sure.
I was disappointed they were out of shrimp and the au gratin potatoes were potato cubed with queso. It wasn't worth the price we paid.
I've been coming here for decades. Still one of the best steak restaurants at which I've ever eaten.
Food was outstanding been way too long since I've visited. My wife and I really enjoyed the food and will be back soon.
Food was excellent. The bread was amazing. I could eat my weight in the bread! Ordered the steak and it was cooked perfect and was very tender and great seasoning. Wedge salad was just okay could use some bacon but the peppercorn dressing was very good. The au gratin potatoes fantastic. We added the fried shrimp and loved the sauce it was served with. Great wine choices. This is not your ordinary steakhouse. I highly recommend that if you enjoy a delicious steak this is your place to go. Nothing else like it. The ambience and nostalgia make for a great evening.
Excellent steak. Fantastic shrimp. Great au gratin potatoes. Fantastic bread and salads. Highly recommend. Great service ad well.
Cub was always a favorite. There was a dip in quality at one time, but they have corrected that.
It's been over 30 yrs since we dined at The Cub. One of Shreveports historical hidden buildings that hasn't been torn down, much like Herby K. It was a good choice (Valentines ). The other nicer restaurants have one menu choice for special occasions and are very very expensive, not The Cub. There are 9 tables so the restaurant which was built in the 1930's is very nostalgic. It's a different experience and we will return. The food was really good. Try it

There was no one to seat us for 10 minutes as the cook could not find the waiter. Bad start. The chardonnay tasted old and the au gratin potatoes were poorly cooked diced potatoes in a thin white sauce. The steak was small for being a "grande filet" but was tasty. The wedge salad was drenched in dressing but was filling. The bread was great. All this for $200 Including a 20% tip (no 15% was even offered) which was presented on a digital screen with the waiter watching you. I haven't been there in 20 years and it will be another 20 before I return.
Excellent. It is a dive in a good way. Steak, shrimp and salad great. Potato's. Amazing. Must do.
Mike is a thief.. he added a $20.00 tip to my total after refusing to serve me water without getting a drink. My total went from $5.75 to $25.75!!! Makes me wonder how many times he has done that!!!

Though it may be crowded sometimes, this is my favorite bar. The service is always excellent and we are always meeting new people here. Their food from the attached restaurant is some of the best around too.
