We were very disappointed.We should have suspected something when we asked what was the fish of the day, the waiter had to see if there wasany left. It was not evenn 7 pm on a Saturday night. Food was excellent. The bread was amazing. I could eat my weight in the bread! Ordered the steak and it was cooked perfect and was very tender and great seasoning. Wedge salad was just okay could use some bacon but the peppercorn dressing was very good.The au gratin potatoes fantastic. We added the fried shrimp and loved the sauce it was served with. Great wine choices. This is not your ordinary steakhouse. I highly recommend that if you enjoy a delicious steak this is your place...
It's been over 30 yrs since we dined at The Cub. One of Shreveports historical hidden buildings that hasn't been torn down, much like Herby K. It was a good choice (Valentines ). The other nicer restaurants have one menu choice for special occasions and are very very expensive, not The Cub. There are 9 tables so the restaurant which was built in the 1930's is very nostalgic. It's a different experience and we will return. The food was really good. Try it
