The management and owner here are absolutely terrible. I would highly advise not to consider working there. They treat their employees like trash. My son is in high school and they wanted to treat him like a full-time employee and ask him questions to the third degree whenever he needed time off for school functions. When he turned in a notice, they told him he was not welcome back. He was an excellent employee and worked very hard. I got compliments from people I didn't even know about how kind and helpful he was. I will never visit this establishment again because of how my child was treated. No wonder they have trouble keeping employees! You all should be ashamed of your actions.
It's fast-casual, but when I walked through the queue, I saw this merchandiser detailing how healthy they are and how to order your food the way you want it; vegan or vegetarian. I knew I had landed in the right restaurant. Lots of awards for almost everything from margaritas, tacos and even healthiest food. Beautiful Cabo-style bar. Will be back for the organic margaritas soon!
I’ve been to a couple places farther away (Dallas) but Don Juanz is in my opinion, the best vegan or vegetarian Mexican food in Shreveport. Just outstanding. The veggie tacos did not disappoint and came with plenty of veggie add-on options on corn tortillas. The veggie burrito made with a fresh hand made tortilla is to die for.
This was our 1st time here. We met Bailey... one of the family owners... he was super friendly and helpful. I got the fish tacos with mahi mahi and they were delicious! My wife got the pork street tacos and also delicious!
Their homemade salsa red and green are fantastic!
Very clean and easy to hear to talk to others dining with you.
Best fish tacos ever!
Hands down the best mahi-mahi burrito I’ve ever had—both to look at and to eat. Loaded with perfectly grilled mahi-mahi, roasted corn, guacamole, rice, and a flavorful chipotle sauce. The sides of shredded cabbage and mango pico are great extras, but honestly, try it just as it comes—absolutely delicious.
Don and his family are phenomenal people. You can tell they really care about what they serve. Everything I have eaten has been delicious and REAL. Both locations are great!
The Chicken Chipotle tacos moved me enough to photograph and review them. It's hard to beat a freshly made tortilla to begin with, but add grilled chicken, roasted corn and this chipotle aioli and these tacos scream perfection!
Delicious food!!!
Who would think a taco place serves the best quesadillas? Don Juanz knocks it out of the park with crispy grilled steak, chicken or shrimp quesadillas and are as tasty as they are beautiful.
What a beautifully created interior space. We arrived early on a Sunday before they opened, and they let us in. We were the only ones there until they opened. I can't say enough about the service, the spotless dining room and the blood orange inspired Smoke and Blood mezcal cocktail. The fish tacos and burritos are what foodie dreams are made of.

We celebrated my birthday here with tacos, quesadillas, and margaritas. Honestly, they could thrive just selling quesadillas—they're that good! The margaritas are organic and the best I've had. Great spot, great time!

As a Mexican food enthusiast, I will say that the tacos, ceviche and margaritas here are really top notch. It's surprising that this non-traditional tex-mex restaurant blows away any mexican or tex-mex joint intown. Here's a tip; it's fast-casual where you order at the cashier, but if you take a seat at the bar or in bar area, you get the best of almost full service for the cost of fast casual excellence.

Beef fajita meat was ok. Not great. The chicken had no flavor, very bland. In a Mexican restaurant, the meat should be flavorful. However, the salsa was great! Chips were a little thick and no salt. My son and his family love the food, so maybe it was just an off day!
