THE RESTAURANT WAS CLEAN, STAFF FRIENDLY AND FOOD TENDER AND PLENTYFUL...HAD THE DEBONED CHICKEN MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH AND IT WAS SO GOOD I FORGOT TO PUT BBQ SAUCE ON IT. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS NICE AND RELAXING... ILL CERTAINLY BE BACK WHENEVER I'M DOWN THAT WAY ..... LITTLE COUNTRY GIRL FROM PARIS TX...... THIS PLACE WON'T DISAPPOINT...... GUARANTEED......THIS IS HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT THEM...FROM THE REVIEWS AND THEY WERE ON POINT!

I'm glad I found a little Freeman and Harris / Pete Harris at Down South Cajun!

The food is the same as I remember! Excellent!

Delicious soul food.The chef/owner is the last surviving employee of the classic Freeman & Harris Café who's still in the eatery business. Unlike other places run by progeny of F&H chefs & employees, Chef Pinto didn't try to just duplicate the classic F&H stuffed shrimp recipe—he improved on it!
