Great experience!! We hadn't been there in a bit- I took my teenage daughters - they loved it!!
I came here to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly unforgettable! From the moment we walked in, the staff made me feel so special. The service was attentive without ever feeling rushed, and every dish was absolutely incredible full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with care. They even surprised me with a little birthday touch that made the night feel extra meaningful. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, perfect for a celebration. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Highly recommend for anyone looking to make a night feel special!
Great servers but EXTREMELY slow kitchen getting the entrees out. Disappointed that the beef was removed from the 3 choices on Seniors Night.
Best restaurant and service in Shreveport. Worth every Penny. The music is always pleasant as well.
We heard very good things about this restaurant. However, we chose not to go because it was difficult to get to it needs outside of grading. And so we chose to go somewhere else because it was our anniversary, but we will go and try the food, but we suggest doing some upgrades to the restaurant. It's in a perfect spot to be a light on the hill.

Sucked...very overrated. Food was bland ,under cooked and over priced to say the least. If you want a real 5 star experience, save time and money and go to Anthony's.
We were there to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's 14th wedding anniversary. We had a great time, good is always great and service impeccable. One of our favorite places in Shreveport.
5 sisters went to Ernest's before Leann Morgan show. Food was excellent with only 2 complaints. My med rare filet mignon was medium at best but I didnt have time to wait on another to be cooked. My sister from Houston ordered the famous snapper in a bag which is now snapper champagne. She loved it but wasn't warned it cost $100. This wasn't in line with the rest of our entrees. Otherwise it was a great meal. Others ordered shish kabob, snapper and chicken pasta dish.
The ambience was nice as we were celebrating our 36th anniversary. However the service was not up to par. The restaurant opens at 4:30 so we made our reservation for 4:45 so that we would be seated immediately. That idea worked, we were seated immediately in a very tiny table for two up against a wall that had a huge picture right above the table, so it stood out from the wall. Because of this, we had to pull the table away from wall to get us some room on this very small table. I order a fish dish that was topped with crab meat and shrimp with a lemon sauce on top. You would think this dish would be served over some type of rice, but no. The side was a baked potato, I questioned the waitress about why not rice or did they have a brown rice or any type of rice, but she said the side was a baked potato or I can get asparagus or mix vegetables. I ended up with a loaded baked potato that had an upcharge of $10. The only thing it was loaded with was an extreme amount of cheese.. no bacon bits, no sour cream or chives. So my meal ended up being very bland. My husband ordered a ribeye steak and he said he definitely had better. On the bright side, the rib eye was HUGE, which was a plus. He doesn't care for baked potato, however he only had the 3 choices the waitress told me, so he ended up with the same bland loaded baked potato.. The waitress was very UN-at tentative. There was several occasions we had to flag down someone else to either give us any refills of water, etc. Service was Horrible considering the amount of our meal. We told the waitress we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, however that went on death ears. We ordered the key lime pie, just to top off our celebration, but that was a disappointment as well. It was $16 for a slice of pie that was perfect for a child's plate and it was not home made. It tasted just like a box pie. Overall, it is NOT a place I would return
We love Ernest's! Great food, great servers, just great overall place!! Will definitely be back!!!

The food was excellent the staff were awesome!! Enjoyed my daughter's birthday with them! Can't wait to go back and dine with them!!
Probably shouldn't go on Thursday when they have a senior special. Food was very slow and precooked. One of the most mediocre experiences ever. Service was no better. Either just didn't care or poorly trained. Have always loved everything about this place. I'll have to look for a new place in Shreveport.
Ernest's is an institution with the most amazing food and service. The seafood is so fresh...especially for a place so far from water. The marinated crab claws are the best I've ever eaten with large and meaty crab fingers with a marinade that is super hard to replicate. Be sure and use the warm bread to sop up the remaining marinade. The shrimp cocktail is huge with 12 big shrimp. 12! The gumbo was delicious. The redfish was buttery and delectable. I had the "Special Special Salad" covered in boiled shrimp and crab meat. It truly was SPECIAL. The service is efficient but very friendly. Don't let the outside fool you; Ernest's is a destination restaurant.
This place was probably something many years ago but it's time has come and gone. So dark inside you can't see the menu or what you are eating. My wife had the Lasagna and I had the Snapper Shreve. Both dishes were on par with something you would get at Olive Garden or Red Lobster. Definitely not worth a $150 bill ( no alcohol).
Nice, older style of atmosphere. Dark, photos on wall, etc. Their specialty is red snapper, prepared in various ways. Mine was definitely not fresh. It smelled and tasted "fishy"- not how snapper is supposed to taste. The server was great, as was the bartender and hostess. The outside of the restaurant needs a lot of TLC. It is very run down. Would I go here again? Probably not.
