Only reason for 4 stars is I remember coming here 40 years ago and the meat quality was way better l. That said in today's world having the best meat like they used to would probably be a 30 dollar sandwich now with today's cost. This is a great little place and at almost 50 I remember my parents telling stories of eating here as teenagers. For those complaing try making a high quality sandwich for 9 bucks. Just enjoy this place while it's here
It was great experience. As we sat in the restaurant it took me back in time. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We will go back again.

Neat place lots of history on the walls home of the Italian muffuletta’s which I love with La hot sauce the place has been here for forever family owned and operated

I got the Muffy and it was basically an overpriced bologna sandwich. I felt uncomfortable while I was in this establishment because a woman that was working kept looking at me up and down. It was just a really strange experience and I'll never go back. The food was a total let down also. Glad I was able to try it though.

Love this place for all of the above. Muffy was as good as ever, but some in our group got Aligator Sausage or Roast Beef sandwiches. All were very good. Everyone is so nice and helpful. The history on the walls makes the atmosphere so fun. If you haven't been here -go! If it's been a while since you've been here - GO!

This is the worst sandwich I have ever paid for. Its,a bologna sandwich folks. How do people review this as anything but. We threw away most of it cause it was awful. I've been to New Orleans and this does not add up. Stop thinking this is good cause it sucks. The location and story are good, but the food is terrible.

I had heard about Fertitta's all my life but finally ate there today. The Muffy, pizza and Cornelian were excellent. I've drunk mint tea at other places and was like "ok". Let me tell you ... THIS mint tea was THE BOMB! I've found a new obsession! Furthermore, I adore the atmosphere. The people and the unique decor make this place comfortable and cheerful. I would definitely recommend having lunch here. BTW...I even had to purchase a gallon of that tea to take home. Excellent food and wonderful folks ... what else could you ask for?
