The Shrimp Buster has been served for 90 years for a reason... It's delicious and a great value!

Something you have to experience while in Shreveport. Friendly staff, Shrimp Buster was excellent. Be sure to add the slaw and sauce to it. Bread pudding was probably the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be back if I am ever in the area again.

For a restaurant that is recommended by everyone I’ve asked in Shreveport, I was left disappointed.

I tried the shrimp buster, the gumbo, and the catfish. The shrimp and fries were old (likely fried and forgotten) and lacked seasoning (a common theme, likely why the Tonys is available). The gumbo was watery and again lacked flavor. The only redeeming quality was the catfish which was cooked perfectly, but again lack flavor.

I will say the atmosphere is fantastic and service was solid. But I will not be returning.

Omg ,this little hole in the wall place is the bomb.
The food is awesome. The tater sauce is great with the slices of pickles in it.
The burgers are the size of your head .
If you are ever in Louisiana, this should be on your stop to eat

Just a perfect old school dive that happens to have great food and all the character you could ever ask for. Loved it here. Outstanding service. I will be stopping by anytime I in Shreveport.

Really good food in what looks like a hole-in-the-wall cafe. I've been to Herby K's many times. I don't think it's as good as it use to be, but it is still one of the best seafood restaurants in Shreveport.

DON’T go there at night because you never know if they are going to close early. I am a regular and picked up two friends and drove all the way across town to spend probably over a $100 on food and drinks and they closed over a hour early! This isn’t the first time this has happened! Why advertise you close at 9pm on a Thursday and you close at 7:45! I have been there eating numerous times when a tall cook comes into the seating area and turns the open sign around over a hour early. I didn’t understand why the cook dictates the closing time but at least I was already there those times. You wonder why business is slow!

Loved this quaint little place to eat. Very cozy with actual trees growing out of the restaurant. Service was great! Food was great! I highly recommend this place!

The shrimp buster sandwich was crisp and packed with seafood flavor, though the side slaw felt a bit plain. Staff kept things casual and quick, and the quirky, down-to-earth vibe made it a memorable local stop.
