From the moment you step out of your car you smell BBQ. Then you walk inside and immediately feel like you’re at home with family. The food is absolutely amazing, by far the best BBQ I’ve found in Louisiana from Baton Rouge to Shreveport.
We ordered the 5 meat plate and the supreme stuffed turkey leg. Y’all this is enough food to feed five people. There’s only two of us so we’ll have at least three meals. So much food. The turkey leg alone is enough for two meals. Needless to say the portion sizes are huge. Everything is actually made from scratch with love and it shows. We had the ribs, chicken, brisket, sausage, turkey leg, gumbo, dirty rice, potato salad, green beans, and Mac and cheese. OMG the gumbo! Every single thing was top notch.
Do yourself a favor and visit Howard’s. You’ll find amazing authentic BBQ, delicious sides, great prices, and huge portions all while feeling like you’re at home with family. Anytime I’m in north Louisiana I’ll make a point to drive to Howard’s no matter how far out of the way it is.

I was wanting some BBQ so bad and had been to other places before around Shreveport and they just were not hitting. When I found Howard’s BBQ on TikTok…I said let me give them a try. When I pulled up and saw that the building was on the corner like.. I knew it was going to be GOODT! I ordered the chop beef sandwich & they were better than GOODT! I had to double back! The best BBQ you are going to have in Shreveport! Delicious chicken, fall off the bone ribs, and yummy tender well seasoned brisket! The sides were all delicious: dirty rice, baked beans and potato salad. Must try! We literally had the whole family dancing after the first bite! The food was terrible , ribs over season , boil and then put in a plate , brisket over season . I had to put all of it in the trash seriously . I will never go there again . I wasting 40,00 for food that we could not eat. Never again will I go there
