It used to be a nice place to go, but a running Waterbug on the wall and our booth, add uncooked meat changed my mind. Feels dirty in there now. They also seemed to be out of something everytime we went, it was reasonable, but that has changed also. Not our go to anymore, gives me the creeps.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The young lady who answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and rude. When a customer says “okay, thank you,” the appropriate response is “you’re welcome” or something courteous, not just hang up the phone in their face. That is unacceptable behavior in customer service.
On top of that, I was charged dinner prices for a lunch special I specifically ordered, and when I brought it up, I was told there was “nothing they could do.” Um yes you can, you just didn’t want to!! I didn’t get pissed off until the little girl that says she’s grown hung up in my face “ oh I didn’t mean to um ok yeah you did”
The servers were awesome made me and my buddies night they were friendly and were joking around with us 10/10 will go again

The food was decent, but the orders were constantly messed up. A 22 dollar gratuity was also forced onto the final bill despite the restaurant not disclosing the existence of said gratuity fees (no sign in the restaurant, warning on the menu, or verbal warning), and the waitress aggressively defended the fee and even threatened to call the police on us for questioning it. Would not recommend this place at all.
Also learned that this restaurant is very unsanitary based on research. Incredibly dirty kitchen and apparent rat infestations.
Ordered Ichiban from DoorDash and my teriyaki chicken came with no sauce at all on it. Just dry, boiled looking chicken. Same thing with the steak. I contacted DoorDash about it and they refused a refund. I gave the food to my dog and just skipped that meal. What a huge disappointment and waste of money/time

Just delicious! It's always the little tucked away spots that surprise you. The LSU roll will have you wanting to share but at the same time willing to fight over the last bite. Definitely will be returning for more!

Ichiban used to be a favorite Japanese restaurant, but sadly it's fallen into disrepair. The interior is very sad and most in need of cleaning. Some of the old chairs had pieces of plastic tied around the feet? Next to the small dining area is a very dirty plexiglass wall with holes in it separating a kitchen area from diners. Seeing grease dripping down holy plexiglass didn't make for appealing aesthetics. The server was great, but the food was average, not attractively plated. The dumplings were grey, boiled but not stir fried. The kicker: old boxes in various states of use, piled inside the dining area. Can't recommend.

This is always my fave place to eat lunch. Try the New Orleans Roll if your feeling ballsy. Its really good.
Ichiban has and always will be my favorite! I moved away from Shreveport a few years ago and I still daydream about the Hello Kitty roll. I came Saturday and had excellent service and the food was delicious as always. I look forward to coming back every time!

Had the worst experience ever at Ichiban today. I have been a loyal customer for many years and probably will not return after today. My coworker and I ordered our food, ten minutes later the table next to us is seated. What appeared to be a waitress(later they said she was not clocked in yet)comes out and begins chatting with the customers there. 5 minutes later their order is placed. 15 minutes later(waitress still chatting) they get their food and I still don't have mine. Management appears unconcerned, blames it on chef. They offer no remedies, no discount on food and no apologies until I say forget my order because now I am out of time. I have to get back to work. Ridiculous!!!! I intend to persuade as many people as possible to avoid this establishment since they are so unconcerned with doing what is right by the patrons!!°
