I haven’t been in a while, but has always been my favorite. The chicken salad was extremely salty and the pecans on top of the pie were burnt. The meal was $20 and I’d wished I’d gone elsewhere.
For a first time experience I can tell you I would probably never eat here again. I love the idea of this place but the prices are too pricey for what you are getting and the noise level is horrible. I don’t know how the staff handles it. It is definitely not a place I would recommend to someone who has noise sensory issues. The staff for the most part is friendly (some more so than others). This is a nice homey place. The service and staff were great. The atmosphere is a lil noisy and can get crowded. I had the chicken salad sandwich and shrimp etouffee. The etouffee was delicious. Well seasoned with great flavor. The chicken salad, however, was not delicious. It didn't taste like it was seasoned with anything but salt. The flavor was definitely lacking. I also taste a friend's red beans. Same result as the chicken salad, no seasoning. I can't say...
