For a first time experience I can tell you I would probably never eat here again. I love the idea of this place but the prices are too pricey for what you are getting and the noise level is horrible. This is a nice homey place. The service and staff were great. The atmosphere is a lil noisy and can get crowded. I had the chicken salad sandwich and shrimp etouffee. The etouffee was delicious. Well seasoned with great flavor. The chicken salad, however, was not delicious. It didn't taste like it was seasoned with anything but salt. The flavor was definitely lacking. I also taste a friend's red beans. Same result as the chicken salad, no seasoning. I can't say...

One of the classic lunch spots in Shreveport to get Louisiana cuisine. Many local professionals frequent Jacquelyn’s; definitely a place to see and be seen for lunch.
Pictured is the combo platter with jambalaya, red beans and rice, and shrimp étouffée, (served with warm buttered bread). Shrimp salad and chicken salad are simple but delicious and are also local favorites.
(PS: Iced tea is the best in town!)
