Thank you for the beautiful and delicious king cake shipped to Albuquerque! I brought it to work to share a little bit of Mardi Gras!
These are the best king cakes in town! My wife left a king cake on top of her car after putting our daughter in her car seat. They pulled up video footage of he pulling out of the parking lot with it still on the roofđ They offered us a new one free of charge!!
Very dry and crumbly despite it being âfreshâ. Disappointing fillings as well. Anyone who raves about them isnât from south LA and has never had a good real king cake before. People from New Orleans also know that Haydels isnât worth the hype either. The only good king cake in this area is from JulieAnnâs bakery in Shreveport. If I canât get one from there Iâd rather make my own because at least itâll be edible.
Bought a small today. It was dry and the crème cheese was sparse. Do not recommend.
We had such a fantastic experience at Lilahâs! We drive all the way from North Texas just to come here. Pictured (from January 2024) is our strawberry & Bavarian king cakeâit was absolutely divine. Not only is this the best and freshest king cake weâve ever had, but Iâd say itâs one of the best desserts in general!
The staff was so warm and welcoming to my family and me. The selection of flavors on the shelves was incredible! The three of us couldnât waitâwe indulged right there in the parking lot, just digging right in. We also brought a cake back for my husbandâs coworkers, and they were all pleasantly surprised by how amazing it was.
I wish I had taken a picture of the inside of the cakeâit was super fresh and generously filled! I know there are a lot of options out there for king cakes, but Lilahâs truly does an outstanding job.
I highly recommend them! Not sure why there are any sour reviewsâsometimes, itâs best to experience something for yourself if you feel drawn to it. Weâre excited to pick up another king cake tomorrow!

Tk has been a pastry chef for many years, yet apparently money and greed has gone to his head. I'm not sure about the quality of other baked goods, but the King Cakes are over-priced, the cinnamon has little if no filling and dried out. It's a shame when you buy an expensive King Cake and it's just terrible. There are many complaints about the low quality and high price. People on Facebook are also complaining. FYI : Super 1 Foods on Shreveport - Barksdale Hwy actually has a damn good King Cake very moist and delicious.
2025 updates are coming soon!

I donât understand why everyone likes Lilahâs. Iâve only ever had it one time because 1) service was lousy and the person helping us was rude; 2) it was more expensive than Gambinoâs - GAMBINOâS (and yes, we had just had one from the original Gambinoâs when we were in Metairie the week before); and 3) it was dry and wasnât nearly as good as Gambinoâs. To sum it up, Lilahâs = rude service and dry king cakes.
USED to be our fave but the quality has declined big time. If you like filling do not get the small size. For $20 we picked up one that ended up being over cooked on the side we couldn't see thru the box with about 1/3 having filling in the whole cake and it was scarce. About half the cake was edible.TERRIBLE customer service on a cake that was shipped during ice storm. Did not answer the phone and only 1 not so friendly reply to my 1st of 3 emails. Had to go in person and she was so aloof saying the issue happened to all the cakes that were sent that day. They never alerted us knowing there were problems. Then never got back to me as she said she would. The cake was received later that week. Not sure if was the original cake, which would be bad, or if a new was sent.Hopefully the latter. Will not be returning!

I drove 30 mins there. I walked in and got a box that was in the spot that was labeled Bavarian.
My fault for trusting that and not reading what the actual box said.
Called and let them know I was a little upset and they said I would have to be back by 6pm before they closed to switch it out and it was already 5:15. Or be there when they first open and I have to be at work at this time. I lived 30 mins away and explained that.
They didnât seem to really care !

Ever since we found Lilah's it has been a family favorite!! It seems a bit pricey but knowing how much time and ingredients goes into making one, I completely understand. We love supporting a locally owned and operated business!! The owner is wonderful!! A true gem in Shreveport!

The king cake wasn't as good as it was in previous years. Very disappointing. I won't be purchasing another one.

I think when it comes to king cake, everyone has their own opinion about what makes a great king cake. We prefer filing in our King Cakes, like cream cheese or Bavarian cream. I lived in Shreveport for over 20 years and never had a king cake from Lilah's. We moved away a few years ago and found a Lilah's king cake at a local market near us. It was very fresh and we loved it. We ordered a Christmas King Cake online and it was delivered the next day after it was shipped. Again, freshly made and delicious!
