Went for my moms birthday. Old school but very nice. The service was perfect friendly and informative. The food had some misses—dressing too sweet duck too much black pepper but overall everything was fresh and tasty and the chef I’d definitely trying which I appreciate.

I found this jewel by happenstance for my and my wife’s 12th anniversary and I would highly recommend this establishment to any and all of my friends.Let’s start with atmosphereYou walk in to an older historic home and are warmly greeted by the host and waiter. Who quickly take us to a table where the waiter lights a candle for you and sits you down. Where he quickly recites the specials for the night. We tried the quail over sweet potato pancakes. Very well prepared and tasted greatThen my wife had a grill romaine salad which was great and very flavorful.Entree was for both of us red snapper with ceab meat. I will have to say that it was the best food I have ever ate and my wife agreesFor dessert we decided on bread pudding with jack Daniel’s sauce. Not a thing to complain aboutThis was by far one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives. Thanks for everything. We will be back next year if not sooner.

The food was fantastic. A restaurant in an old house was a great atmosphere, like several restaurants in Charleston and Savannah. I was impressed that the server knew everything about the menu and specials, without pausing or looking up anything!

It's been 4 months and I am still dreaming of The Mabry House. This restaurant is worth the entire experience. MAKE RESERVATIONS IN ADVANCED! The ambiance is absolutely marvelous. You walk into a beautiful home and the dining area is very intimate. You might find yourself talking to your table neighbors who happen to be regulars from the town over and come here every year for their anniversary with amazing recommendations of what to order. And if that is the case - you will probably be in love with the restaurant already. Service from the hostess to waitress to chef coming out is amazing as well. The menu changes frequently. I ordered the lamb. I have never tasted lamb this wonderfully cooked in my entire lamb eating experience. The lamb is so incredibly tender and the flavor just melts in your mouth. If you've ever had lamb, you might know it is an acquired taste. I've had a lot of bad lamb in my life. This was THE BEST I have ever enjoyed. The glaze that the lamb lays on is so delicious. I wish I could give this more stars. Cannot wait for another opportunity to come back!

Go and experience a fantastic evening with good conversation, laid back atmosphere and food that you'll be talking about for years. The glasses never went empty. Scallops were a tremendous start of the evening. Artichoke soup was top level. Salad was bursting with flavors. The filet was ever so perfectly cooked. The flavors were multi-dimensional. The redfish was as fresh as it gets. Finished the evening with an eggnog cheese cake, recommend by a most excellent wait staffer, Avalon.

Finest dining experience in many years. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and could not have had a better dinner. The ambiance was elegant yet understated. Our waiter was very experienced, attentive, funny and made us feel welcomed. Chef visited the room and asked how we liked the food and what everyone ate and if anyone was celebrating any special occasions. All couples were celebrating and expressed complete satisfaction. Our friends and family will know where to experience the best dining experience when in Shreveport.

So Shreveport redeemed itself for me with this place. When I say I highly recommend , I highly recommend It is rich is history and charm. The staff is knowledgeable. The owners are a couple and he is the chef and his wife makes rounds to the table and is so welcoming. Rolls good 10/10 Character 10/10 Boa bun 6/10 the meat was good but I didn't care for the veggies and bread Ceasar salad 8/10 Each item is served by course Sorbet to cleanse the pallet 10/10 Red snapper in brown butter lemon sauce topped with lump crab meat 100/10 This red snapper was the best I have had they were not stingy with the crab meat. It was originally served with just butter noodles but I asked for Parmesan noodles and the chef delivered The bread pudding came highly recommend but it wasn't for me. I think if they add the pumpkin pie topping to the bread pudding we would be on to something I'm definitely going back

Cozy and intimate setting. Food was amazing. We even took a seasonal picture that the server offered to take for us. I will be back!
