Hospitality is very great! Their Wednesday Special was full of food. (Would be enough for 2 possible) freshly cooked food that was seasoned well!
I enjoyed the shrimp mostly.

I use to live here and it use to be so good ...I come back once a year and still go by but for the first time I will never go back... They must've changed owners and cooks because the fish was trash.... They've changed the tarter sauce recipe.... They definitely didn't listen to specifications on meals o and two chicken strips (kids meal)and less than a handful of fries was almost 10 dollars…..a joke I was so embarrassed when my husband said... Are you sure you went to monkhouse because this doesn't taste like the one you introduced me to...I had 2 2 piece fillets and 2 kids meals I reg fry 58 dollars,., but I will say the young lady at the front counter did have a great attitude and was very aware of her customers and surroundings but yea not going back to this place... Still shocked by how disappointing the food has become!

Absolutely recommend! Cajun Black Bayou was delicious and catfish fried to perfection!

It was definitely a pleasure talking to the owner. After Googling to find a spot to eat, my son and I stopped here. When I tell you God put people in your path for a brief moment to remind you that he hears you, that's exactly what he did by placing us there. Food for thought and the soul is what we received. Cool little spot a little dated but I came for the food. Had some shrimp and fish seasoned well! The ranch is the only thing that was a little different.1st Louisiana restaurant but not my last .

Absolutely delicious local seafood with a wonderfully friendly owner. Great portions and flavors. Highly recommend supporting this business! Right by the airport and highway I-20. The owner even threw in some rice and gravy with our order because he just wanted us to try it, and it definitely did not disappoint!

Kervens was very courteous & friendly. The food was great. We tried the blackened fish on rice & the shrimp fried rice & they were both flavorful & good portions.

this place caught me by complete surprise me, nice clean atmosphere, very welcoming cashier, the food was top tier! I had the catfish and took my monstrous burger to go, the catfish is perfectly seasoned and breaded, I was completely blown away! Will be back and tell all my friends and family!
