They just close whenever they want to and no one answers the phone! It sucks to drive there just to find out they're closed.... Maybe they should change/update their hours of operation online! Or answer the dang phone!

This place is the biggest joke in Shreveport. In my opinion, the “Restaurant” and I use that term very loosely, was nothing more than a set and background for their failed “Reality TV Show”. I feel that's why the food was horrible, you couldn't get service, there wasn't any care or concern, and the management stayed intoxicated. Nobody had a clue what they were doing. If they did, they sure didn't show it. They were spinning this like Panderina worked there and her recipes were used. Panderina would have never served out the garbage they seemed to accidentally scrape off the grill. It's now closed and good riddance.

I didn't hate this place nor did I love this place, I never got a chance to have an opinion because it was closed even though it states clearly on the door that they were open. I got all jazzed up and stuff, wore my best perfume,White Diamonds, my husband wore his aqua velva and we weren't able to eat. Man I broke out the good perfume and cologne for nothing.

We went into Proud Mary on a Saturday night. We sat at the bar and no one waited on us. The general manager was counting money or receipts or something from the day at the register and talking to the cook. He barely acknowledged us. It was around 950 and they stay open until 11. Felt stupid and unwelcome. Eventually just left...I think this is what the GM wanted us to do. The cook was nice when we met him outdoors. But this was a bad experience

I ordered the ox tails. Very delicious. My cabbage was very salty, green beans were bland.

Horrible customer service. Waited a hour and half for food and we were the only ones there

This is the worst restuarant I've been to in a long time. When our waitress came to the table, she stated that there was no fish or shrimp. We got there at 6:45 and at 7:30 still no food. I asked for sweet tea twice and got unsweetened twice. 2 of my friends order appetizers and got there food. Another friend and myself order entries and got no food. It would have been a different story if the restaurant was packed... that's wasn't the case. That was my first and last time going there. They didn't even deserve the one *.

Me and my wife visited for lunch and it was horrible. The food was poorly under seasoned, the greens tasted like it was straight out the can (trash) cornbread tasted a day old and it was cold. The chicken would give you nightmares.m I will never go back

On 26 January 2019 my family dined at Proud Mary's because of its close proximity to our hotels and to celebrate the first birthday of the newest member of the family. The celebration will be memorable for all of the wrong reasons considering the dining experience. Upon entering the restaurant we were impressed by the ambiance and the warm greeting from the staff. Thereafter, with the exception of the waitress, Catherine, the experience took a steep and continuing dive into an abyss and provided the worst dining experience I have had in more than twenty years. We found the menu limited, an apparent lack of food on hand to complete an order and the list goes on. For example, an appetizer of chicken wings was ordered. The waitress brought out one complete wing, 1 drummette, 1flat portion and 5 saucers and later advised, after we complained, that there was insufficient food on hand to complete the order. I am a believer in the parable where Jesus fed the multitude, 5000 people, with 5 loaves of bread and two fish. However, He was not present in his physical form to do that on Saturday. The remaining dishes that were presented were unappealing. In fact my order of Crawfish Etouffee was a plate filled abundantly with rice and a dab of a brown substance that resembled gravy on top. Having lived in the heart of Acadiana for more than forty years and accompanied by two other residents of this area, I believe we were more than qualified to reach the conclusion that this was not worthy of consumption and it was returned to the kitchen. The purported father of the owner tried to offer what he contends was the house specialty as a substitute. However, I am a believer in the adage, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I was not going to be fooled. Proud Mary should now be Weeping Mary for the heartache occasioned on Saturday. Going forward I would suggest that potential guests channel the words of Dionne Warwick and Walk on By until the owners of this establishment, which has great potential considering its location and promise of creole cuisine, get their proverbial act together.

The atmosphere is great, but I would not recommend going if you are hungry. I've gone four times, but only ate once. I ended up leaving three times because either they were out of food, or no one took, or brought out our orders.

hey guys I would 11/10 recommend not eating here. service was very poor. I would advise you to bring multiple conversation starters as you will be sitting for nearly an hour before being recognized. On top of that, I would also recommend choosing 4 items on the menu because they will probably be out of your first three choices. Food was bland, and on top of that it took an extra hour to get food, after being recognized. I ordered the porkchops, and I was informed, AFTER EVERYONE ELSE AT THE TABLE HAS GOTTEN THEIR FOOD, that they were out of the porkchops, so I had to choose a different option. And also, their credit card machine was down so we had to bring cash. I wish I could rate less than 1 star, but unfortunately i cannot.

Well being that I actually work here as a prep cook I won't give an actual review. I will say that I started as a server and I served many patrons that were out of town or foreign altogether. They all enjoyed their time with us so if you haven't yet had a chance to dine with us come on by and give us a taste.

The set up was nice, but service was well beyond HORRIBLE!!! We were a party of four that sat at the bar. The bartender/waitress walked passed us without any sort of greeting eight times. She finally acknowledged us but westill didn't receive any service. Finally we were able to get a guy's/bartender's attention and requested a menu and to order drinks. He didn't know how make a margarita and they were completely out of tanqueray leaving us to wait on the previous bartender/w

Let me just preface this with WOO CHILE. THE GHETTO. Walked in around 5 pm (when dinner rush begins). We were ready to order an appetizer when we were told that the only available items on the menu were oxtails, hamburger steaks, hamburger steaks and fried fish and shrimp. While this was irritating, I was still excited to try the chicken and waffles. But alas, we were told the waffle maker had broken the previous night (how hard is it to go and buy another one?). I was also told there were not enough wings to complete my order. So instead, I ordered the fried chicken. Another member of my party order the seafood gumbo. The gumbo arrived in a ramaken (about the size of a sauce dish) with two over cooked shrimp and undercooked rice. Once the entrees, I was less than impressed. My side of mac and cheese was cold and we were told they had run out of tartar sauce and ketchup. KETCHUP. There were two bottles of partially filled ketchup (one Great Value brand and one Heinz). Again, how hard is it to run to Walmart and buy a bottle of ketchup. There is a grocery less than a mile away. There were no to-go plates and we were given cafeteria trays with foil to take to go. Overall, I am throughly unimpressed with this restaurant. For such a nice atmosphere, I expected much more. There is a lot of work that needs to be done if this establishment wants to remain afloat.

OMG where do I start.... if I could give them a zero star I would THE WORST customer service I have ever received in my 53 years on this earth and the ignorant a** owner says "do what you got to do" when I said I am going to give you a bad review after sitting for 25 minutes and no service. I am a from out of town and heard about your establishment and wanted to patronize your restaurant. It states on line they are open until 12pm, we arrived at 10:15 and were greeted by a server who said you can seat yourself in the bar area, we saw a table and said can we sit there she said yes but we have to clean it, they clean table then seat us..... that's when it goes completely down hill!!!! We sit there for 25 minutes and no service so my daughter proceeds to find a server who then informs her "Oh we are not serving anymore" I then interject with, "May I speak to your manager" the so called manager looks me in face from across the room and refuses to come address me, we were then told the owner is right there and points to well dressed African American male who I then approach and tell him what we have encountered and that I was I not pleased and would definitely give a poor review he then says "do what you got to do" I kept my decency and didn't cuss his a** out as I wanted to do and left..... DO NOT patronize this ghetto a** establishment!!!!! Can't say If food is good didn't have a chance to try.....
