We went around 10pm on a Monday and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The bartender and her regulars at the bar took great care of us and made great suggestions for fun drinks that included some delicious flaming shots. We ordered pizza and a quesadilla from the kitchen and they were both both good portion sizes. The pizza was about average but the bell peppers we ordered on it were particularly nice and fresh cut. The games around the place made for an easy good time. Dollar air hockey and the huge Tetris game upstairs were the hits for us.

This is five star review for the type of bar that this is... This is a straight up oversized dive bar with the usual dive bar dirty, dark, and black paint feel but weirdly in a good way... the staff was friendly and the pizza was actually pretty good.

Open late and they always serve food. Staff has a good work ethic most bars in the south donât have that same work ethic and passion. I recommend pulling up.

Ordered food on Aug 2, 2024 @ 9:53 and they were loading a pistol on the food prep table and everyone was very rude. I have supported this place in the past, but never again. I donât want to be shot by an overzealous cook with a license to carry.

The vibes at Sand Bar are ATROCIOUS. I wouldnât tell my worst enemy to come here.
We did not get any food so I cannot speak to it. It is a pool hall with a couple of poker machines. It is very large and open with a very high ceiling so you don't feel cramped at all. Hightop tables are spread out well enough that you can have a conversation without being completely involved in the next table's conversation, but close enough to say hello if you wanted to. They do have some draft beers and a decent selection of bottles. Typucal regular bar looking options on liquor, but didn't notice any specialty drinks other than the shot servers walking around. Kind of loud, but as is expected. Easy walk to other places in downtown Shreveport. It's not overly impressive, but zero complaints and the staff was friendly and quick on getting drinks poured.

Don't not go in there if you're a male with a tank top or a plain white shirt. I had to buy a shirt for $20 to stay!
