This place has pretty good food if you can get it. The service is below standards. Took me 30 minutes for eggs and grits and bacon breakfast, and the manager didn't even offer a comp for the food. Still had to pay.

Jambalaya tasted like it was made with spaghetti o sauce.....no kidding....I see why the low rating.

What is the deal with a 10% to go service charge, I Was told this goes directly to Samstown for what im not sure... but just so you guys know.We will no longer be tipping on to go orders which sucks for the guys that work there.. Sams town is taking money out of their pocket... I will not pay a service charge For you guys to make more money Which you make enough in the casino and on you're ATM machines.... This is seriously ridiculous... Let these workers
make their money.

Don’t order the barbecue ribs. They are tough and tasteless. The baked beans were bland, and the macaroni and cheese tasted like it was a box of Kraft Mac and cheese. I expected the food to taste good since I was in Louisiana. My friend said the ribs were so bad he couldn’t eat them. He sent them back. Our server was very nice and friendly.

We were staying at Sam’s and needed a late night meal. Read the reviews for Smokey’s and they weren’t good. We had a group and decided just to give it a try. The food was really good and our waiter was so nice. We had burgers and the chicken fajita salad and were happy with our orders. The food came out quickly and was hot.

The worst meal I have ever had in Shreveport/Bossier. My BBQ brisket poboy came out ice cold. I sent it back (which I almost never do). The second one came out warm, but the meat was the poorest excuse for brisket ever. It was dry, overcooked and flavorless. It was more like a bad jerky. The service was almost non existent. The restaurant was maybe a quarter full and we heard them tell a guy they weren't seating anymore people currently. Apparently the have a late shift change. At the end of the day all the problems seemed like mismanagement. I will not be back to Smokey Joe's and likely won't be back to Sam's Town.

It is absolutely fine for a casino restaurant. Pretty good burgers and pasta and a friendly staff.

Order the chicken special.. they should have called it a veggie special. The drumstick is smaller than my thumb

Our server was super sweet. But our food was not the best. My husband ordered the filet pretty sure it was not one. I have never seen one look they way it did. When we said something about it our server even said it didn't look right. She took to the back. The manager said they would not do anything because my husband ate some of it. He barely ate half and was very un happy with his meal. You can at least discount or come and talk to us if ypu sont want to take the meal of our check. My fried pork chops were ok but our nachos were cold.

I have worked in the restaurant industry for 20 years and I am a manager at 1. I would never treat my guest this way.

I give two stars as I was unable to dine. They were at about 20% capacity and they said "come back in 30 minutes while we catch up". We were able to go next door to Bally's deli and eat right away.

I would like to say they are good at making you feel good but the sell you food for 3 days before. Pest is just another story Ive seen roaches crawl out of the lettuce. The restaurant is very rude and unsanitary. Please don't waste your time with this people.
