Best fried chicken around.

Ok let's start by saying absolutely wonderful chicken! Now as for the Atmosphere this location has only a drive through which is disappointing for me as I like a sit-down restaurant 😕 but with that being said, If ever in the area I would definitely eat from here again! 😋 I did have the red beans and rice they were ok but nothing to write home about will try something different next time.

Southern Classic in Shreveport off of Market, Hollywood and 70th Street used to be the place to go for my family every Thursday and Sunday. However I don't know what happened. The chicken and fries are just bland now. I noticed after South Classic started having more TV advertising the quality of the food went down. Let's not mention the size of the chicken. The chicken legs are no bigger than your smallest finger and the feathers appear to be fried on the chicken. I guess it is a more economy type chicken they are using. I miss Southern Classic but I refuse to pay $24.00 for dinner on Thursday and Sunday and not get quality food. As for the Bossier City Louisiana location I tried twice and I got sick both times. This is just my honest review from being a faithful customer since 2014.

Hot fresh with a little kick every time. And I can eat a whole box of them fries!!

You can't visit Shreveport/Bossier and not eat Southern Classic Chicken!! Best Chicken in the world!!!

Southern classic chicken food is good... the dirty rice is top tier .... love it...

The chicken is excellent! It's the only chicken on the bone that I will eat. The sides are alright, a little "one note."The service is okay, but would probably be better if I didn't come during the busy times.

I can't say anything bad about the taste of the food here because it is excellent. The absolute best fried chicken in Shreveport. I will say, we ordered the 16-piece box and two large red beans and rice and one cajun rice. Four breasts, four thighs, four legs, and four wings. The legs were all the size of my finger, as the picture shows. The thighs were quite small, and there were only three. The small cajun rice container was about half full, which gave us about four teaspoons full. For a $57.00 meal we were very disappointed value wise.

The chicken doesnt taste like it used to. It was known for a mild kick at the end of each bite that had a car line all the way to the street. Now the chicken doesnt have it and its quite average.
