First and last time to try this place. They close at 3:00, but was told the grill is closing. I arrived at 1:05, it is 1:10.
Perhaps update the hours, or let people know that hours before actually closing there is a very limited menu and it doesn’t include the grill. It says all day breakfast?

I always call in an order and go pick it up but everybody there is always so sweet ❤️❤️❤️❤️ there is a little wait but it is to be expected especially on a Saturday 🤗 and when you’re getting great service a little wait isn’t a problem!!

I ordered ahead and still had to wait like 15 minutes. They were very busy. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. The cheese was missing and some of the biscuit was missing too.
I must say the butter beans was delicious. The okra and tomatoes was good once I added salt and pepper. The beef tips and gravy was weird the meat tasted like can meat and the potatoes was to thick and no taste. The restaurant itself was nasty and we noticed one waitress wipe her nose on the back of her hand and still work with the food. Then pick up macaroni and cheese off the floor and stick her hand in a bucket of water they was wiping the counter off with. Will not return.

In October 2024 I visited this restaurant for the first time. I was APPALLED by the pictures of stereotypical Black people hanging on the walls!!! I see no purpose in displaying these inappropriate pictures!!!! My family and I will NOT be returning!
My friends and I wanted something different so we gave this place a try and definitely 10/10! I got the chicken & dumplins, turnip greens, fried squash, beans, and cornbread. The pancakes looked amazing but didn't try any.

Southfield Grill particularly the location on Southfield Rd use to be my favorite however my last 5 or 6 visits have been very disappointing especially when it comes to the quality and quantity of food and not to mention there's a pothole in the parking lot that can swallow the average passenger car I really hate to give up on this restaurant but money is too hard to come by for poor tasting food sad?
