I've ordered a lot of drinks from this place for the past 3 years and they've always been wonderful, but I've also seen a decrease in the employees' abilities to make drinks on their own accord. I'm mostly sure this an issue of lack of training, my drinks have been taking longer and longer to make because the workers have to ask managers and experienced staff how to make something and look in their recipe book, which makes me late for class or work. While waiting, I've also overheard the more experienced workers gossiping and talking in a negative way about other people. It's none of my business, but I thought this was supposed to be a friendly and inclusive environment, I'm worried about what they might say about me.. All in all, the food and drinks are great and tasty, and the area is clean and not always cluttered, but the newer employees could use some prior support and training.

My experience with stacks is that there are bad workers in the mornings, besides Justin, Babs, an Asian girl, and Gracie (who are great), and personable workers in the afternoons and evening. There is Babs and a white guy with long hair who has always been courteous, kind, and has always made me my drink exactly how I like it. Based on their service I would recommend stacks to anyone who comes to LSUS. I agree through that some of the workers in the mornings are very unprofessional and do NOT clean at all. The workers in the afternoons always I see cleaning.

I would have to disagree with a certain previous review. All of the baristas except three I have noticed are really sweet and kind to each other. There is a white girl with black hair and an accent, she is usually there in the mornings. I believe her name is Joana? I have noticed she likes to be bossy towards her co-workers, and it is unfortunate that she creates a toxic work environment for Stacks. I have overheard her and two of the British workers talking down about their coworkers (making fun of the way they sit, greet customers). It is unacceptable that LSUS allows such people to work at Stacks, an inclusive environment. I hope that they can be either reprimanded or this issue can be resolved. Stacks should be an inclusive, kind environment, and the way in which these workers talk about to and about their co-workers does not represent that.

When I first started going here everything was perfect from the service, to the atmosphere, and the food. However recently I’ve been having extremely bad or mixed experiences because of the black girl with the accent that they’ve got working at the cash register. Every single time me or me and my friends go up there to order, she never has any idea what she’s doing. And I get it, I’ve been a new person at a new job too, it’s hard, but there is absolutely no freaking way that she has NO CLUE what ANYTHING is up there.
One time, my friend asks her if they have any tapioca. She mishears him, which is fine. Then he asks again, and she stares at him like he’s insane and says “…Tapioca..?” And they keep up this back and forth until someone who actually knows what they’re doing comes up to the register and informs him of the status of it. I thought this was a one time thing.. but clearly not.
I go in here by myself this time, and I order my usual with popping boba. She tells me they don’t have the popping boba I want anymore, so I ask her “Okay… what else do y’all have?” She gives me the flavors, then I ask her if any of those flavors are popping boba. She looks at me with the same weird look she gave my friend and mishears me AGAIN. I ask her as clear as can be “Are any of the flavors popping boba. That is what I am asking.” She gets mad and defensive and says “I DONT KNOW POPPING BOBA ITS JUST BOBA.”
Are you serious? I understand being unfamiliar with stuff but her customer service is downright terrible and she should not be on the register unless she gets trained better to know what the heck the establishment SHE works for sells, or until she knows how to speak to customers. Or even keep her as someone who just does the drinks. I don’t think she should be fired, but clearly she’s got no idea what she’s doing and until she gets a clue or they put her in the back, I can’t personally recommend anyone buy from Stacks, or at the very least avoid ever going when she’s there and just go to the Port or something.

Amazing staff and great atmosphere! Lots of great options to choose from at affordable prices, and even if you don’t know what to order, a worker is always more than happy to provide the best options for you! I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ever gotten from there and 10/10 would most definitely recommend. I’ll for sure be back!
