Food was cold, saw our waitress 1 time, all could could hear was the waitresses talking back and forth from the floor to the front of the restaurant,very loud. I will not be back. Service was the worst.
Very much poor service!!! The waiter got extremely upset about me wanting more tea for my Arnold Palmer that tasted like lemon water. She yelled and had a very nasty attitude! Customer service was horrible. She yelled loudly as I was walking to the podium to pay because she thought we were not going to pay! Money good. It was a crowd near the pay area and we stood behind the crowd because we thought they were in line and once I noticed they were not in line I paid for my order. Horrible attitude and she should not be working at a place with people at all. Then she started speaking in Chinese as if I’m not competent to know what she was saying very rude! Service was terrible and would not recommend this terrible place to nobody at all again! And I hope the workers and owner of the place get this review because she very much will make you all business decline in a negative way and she know who she is, bad attitude, no customer service, rude, spirit just was terrible. Get it together SUMOS.

Terrible food! We went right as the prices changed to dinner. The food was obviously sitting on the bar since lunch. We could not finish our meal. I addressed the issue and got ignored.

I don't understand why Chinese food is so bad in Louisiana? I hate leaving a bad review for anyone, especially restaurants, but this was absolutely horrible on the two occasions I've tried this place. Today we were charged dinner prices, for food that sat out all day long. It was dry, hard, cold, and I had to literally spit out the baked imitation crab covered with cheese. How crab could possibly end up with a texture like that, is a marvel of science and thermodynamics. The sushi was decent, but the cooked rolls were cold and old. Look, I travel all over the country, and I primarily eat Chinese, Japanese, Thai food, mainly due to dietary restrictions, and it's just what I prefer after growing up with a Japanese grandmother, that was the most phenomenal cook. Louisiana's Asian food selection is horrifically bad. The buffets are more redneck fried chicken and bastardization of traditional dishes, and generally rarely at appropriate temperature, storage, recycled from days before. What I wouldn't give to experience the level of Asian food, compared to literally anywhere other than here. Sumo is now forever marked off from my list of possibilities. After telling them how bad the food was, they couldn't care less. I'm sure they're used to scam artists attempting to get free meals, but to some degree you have to say last pretend to give a damn about your customers. Also it wouldn't hurt to clean the bathrooms and areas around the buffet tables. Pretty sure that's health code violations.

Prices were outrageous I guess for a lower middle-class family it's not a place for us to eat. It cost 90.00 to feed four people . it was two adults and two children and the children barely even ate one plate of food .
