The fact that they haven't had a review in 2 years.. is crazy. I will rate this place five stars again. And again. And again. This place has THEM PLATES baby. You can tell just by the ladies behind the counter that the food is going to have flavor. I cannot rave enough about Taylor's!! I will plan my entire trip around stopping in this place for a bite to eat. You are always guaranteed a fantastic soulful meal. If you're looking for a great mom and pop hole in the wall THIS is your place to go! I got the red beans and rice, with cabbage and greens and a side of hot water corn bread. The cabbage takes me back to my childhood!! SO good. My boyfriend got the smothered pork chop and gravy over rice with yams and green beans, with a cornbread muffin. The yams are TO DIE FOR. He also told me to make sure I put that in my review! Everything was HOT and FRESH. Do not walk.. RUNNN to Taylor's!

I have been a regular customer of Taylor's! My recent experience this past Thursday 10/14 has left me disappointed! I ordered the Oxtail plate lunch! I got 4 small oxtails for the increased price $18.95! I got a spoon of yams that were horrible! Tasted as if they were just warmed up out of the can! I can only think that it was a rushed order! It has always been a great place to eat or take-out! I hope this was an off day, and I will have a better feel if I go again!

For authentic soul food, this is the place. Its hard to get anyone on the phone, and the line can be long, but its definitely worth it.

If you like southern soul food this is your goto place.dine in, not currently. But grab a togo box and be full for two days. There isn't anything offered that is a skip. Everything on their menu is delicious. Very delicious. $12 for a lunch special and you get your money's worth. If you want chicken spaghetti, which is available ONLY MONDAY, best get there when it opens. It sells out in under an hour! Stop by for a treat you're sure to want to visit over and over again!

Loved eating here. Came across this place when looking for soul food. Very small establishment that offers carry-out only due to COVID. Ordered the fried catfish plate on my first visit the turnip greens and cabbage was very good. And the Mac and cheese. They offer a lot of southern comfort food staples such as neckbones and hot water cornbread! The second time I got the fried chicken plate and the chicken was nicely seasoned and fried. Would definitely recommend if you are missing down home cooking.
