Food was bland and some was over cooked. Place needs to be cleaned. Waitress was friendly.

I honestly have no clue how to start this. My wife and I have been here plenty of times before, and the food is usually okay. It was never great but okay enough to stop by if we found ourselves hungry near downtown Shreveport. This time though we got served a toe sized, uncooked, RAW, hairy, flabby, chunk of pork belly in our Red Beans and Rice. Now... pork belly CAN be added to this dish.... but never uncooked, hairy and raw. It was flippen disgusting. This was all after we returned our salad because the lettuce was wilted and the chef came out to apologize about the salad. He even agreed that it was wilted and not up to standard. However the chef did not come out to apologize about the slab of uncooked, hairy pork skin. After the disgusting experience we had with the hairy chunk of raw pork meat; we left. Absolutely gross.

The pricing: Some reviewers note that the price is on the higher side—food & drinks tend to cost more than average pub fare.

While many dishes get good marks, there are occasional comments of inconsistency: e.g., in the 2016 review:
“The only one that missed the mark was the Buffalo cheese curds … Soggy and hard.”
Charleston City Paper
Because it’s popular and open late, expect it to be busy, potentially noisy, and with a lively (less “quiet dinner”) vibe.
One important note: According to a 2016 local news piece, this venue’s lease was not being renewed, leading to closure of that original incarnation.

Good food
Stopped in for lunch while visiting customers. Got the lunch Chicken Swiss Bacon Sandwich with honey mustard on the side…Outstanding. Tip: Sandwich was huge so you can easily split with someone

The Blind Tiger got flavor, creativity, and that smooth city vibe. The food’s fresh, portions hit right, and the service stays consistent you can tell they care about presentation and pace. Atmosphere’s chill, dim, and grown the type of spot you unwind and let conversation flow.

Amazing vibe, food, drinks and service. Will go back when in town again.
My Shrimp sampler was great. My wife's gumbo was embarrassingly bland. What the heck did you let someone from Minnesota do your spices? No heat barely any flavor at all. Everything else was killer. Send your gumbo person back to school though.

My husband and I were traveling through from San Antonio and since I had never really had Cajun food we decided to stop at the blind tiger. We order one of the samplers and the catfish and shrimp plate. I must say I am absolutely impressed with the food and the service! Our waitress Morgen was a sweet heart and very attentive. I highly recommend stopping by if you coming to Shreveport!
