I went EVERYDAY i was in town! The food is so good with the new owners...the fried pork chops with homemade pepper jelly was fantastic. The chicken fried steak was inhouse breaded and super fresh. no sysco nonsence there! The best black eyed peas i have ever had. The burger on in house baked bread rocked! The fries have a really good seasoning...the gumbo is rich and super flavorful !! the beignets with the fruit sauce is a chefs kiss. The bread pudding is excellent...listen...

Ah, this local classic diner has been a mainstay for, idk, before I was a person. It's vintage. The prices are very affordable. It's changed owners a few times. They go. The diner stays. I hope when the state building moves it's operations downtown, the cotton bowl survives. The place is small, but this place loves our city. Historic photos adorn the walls.
