If you are going for food keep looking. Although the owner claims to be a farmer he's more of a lawyer. Although he knew it was out first time visiting he never followed back up with us. Which I found extremely odd since he is running for office. Food was tough to supposedly be farm fresh. Cocktails are good as this place is really a bar selling high priced stuff they call food. Tables hit you about calf high and you need a chiropractor after visiting. Recommend going to a real city like Dallas/McKinney if you want some real farm fresh food.

I went to The Levee last Saturday night with a bunch of old friends (nine of us!) and we had a blast. It was exactly what we were looking for -- an ideal place to talk and taste. The food was special and the cocktails superb. highly recommended!I went in for a mid afternoon coffee, wanting a new experience in a different non-Starbucks setting. I discovered a non pretentious environment that was set up for socializing.

Tonight I had a peach salad with blueberries, microgreens and shrimp. My beverage was the Botanist (rum, cognac and elderberry). Both were wonderful! Plus it was during Sunday Night Music when various musical artists (all professional) played. Great night!

I really wanted to like this place so I'm giving three stars even though I'll never know! We went in and were seated and waited over twenty minutes with no drinks or any service. The guys working just sat next to us talking to someone or walked by our empty table for the duration. We finally just left. I definitely never mind waiting for food as long as we have a drink. Do we serve ourselves? I'm so confused.
