A bit overpriced, in my opinion. The food was okay. I would like to try the restaurant again.

3/22/24. This was our first time here. We went for our anniversary. Logan was our server. He was very informative and service oriented. Everything except for the brocolini ?was delicious. From our spirited drinks to our appetizer's of deviled eggs , crab cake and whatever the special was that day…to our dinner of prime rib roasted garlic mashed potatoes … straight to our dessert. Love this place and will be back soonTHANKS

When I read it, I saw that it was a restaurant -lol. The restaurant has the BEST PHILLY STEAK & CHEESE POBOY and the hoagie bed was the bomb dot come. I will DEFINITELY be going back to this restaurant.

Met with friends and had the most excellent service and dinner was delish!Yes, I would 100% recommend having a meal with The Library on Fern!Dietary restrictions: My husband does low carb/no carb, and they easily swapped out one of his starchy sides to broccoli

The food and atmosphere were nice but they were severely understaffed. I could tell as soon as we walked in they had entire areas of open tables but people were waiting to be seated because they had no one to wait the tables. We hung in there because we understood and wanted to give it a shot anyway. Service was incredibly slow but the waitress gave us a free dessert as a thanks for your patience.

Walking in, love the ambiance, decor, temperature, and overall layout. We went on a Wednesday night for reference. It was quiet. Overall, service was good, food was ok (oversalted but I think the locals prefer this), but they were out of everything we tried to order (ribeye, steak toppings, cheesecake to name a few) and they need to tend to some minor details to prevent annoying their guests. More details below. The very wonderful waitress (no sarcasm, she was fabulous) sat us at a high top table in a corner. Perfect right? No. The table wobbled. I asked to be seated elsewhere. That table also wobbled and was right in front of the entrance (that's just a terrible location for a table so I'm not sure why it's even there). We finally just moved to a standard table and that table was fine. This was an omen of what was to come. This is an easy fix just need to level the tables so I'm surprised the issue existed, but I would rather leave than sit at a wobbly table for an hour. The menu was, ok. Several options. We ordered a glass of wine, appetizer, our meals, and desert. She left and returned to inform us that they were out of my husband's steak. She returned again to tell me they didn't have the ingredients for my steak topping. Ok, annoying, but no big deal, changed our orders Ahi Tuna appetizer came. It was good, but had an excessive amount of coleslaw under it and mayo that wasn't listed. I recommend they put the mayo on the side since it isn't listed on the menu. Our steaks came. They were cooked to order and tender. Over seasoned for us, but again I think that's a local thing because every steakhouse in the area is like this ? so I'm not bashing this. It's a personal preference. Sides were delicious and well cooked. Desert. Well for one they were out of one of the deserts we tried to order and the creme brulee we did get was more like wet/cold pudding than creme. Not a fan, but fixable.Price. We spent nearly $200 for two. If they actually had their full menu available and fixed some of the issues, this place could be worth the prices they are charging. The experience/meals we received were not worth the price tag we paid. I would be willing to try again as this place has potential and I hope they read these reviews and improve because I would love for this restaurant to survive. Shreveport needs more restaurants like this!

Lunch today 1-3-24 a group of us and two of us had the Fried Shrip Po-Boy. Wrong choice because it was nothing but French Bread...the Fries were okay though. Not going back.

We will try them again. Our server kept a good attitude although I believe they were understaffed. My steak was a bit undercooked for medium well. I couldn't eat it but the burger at the next table looked delicious ? Happy hour and drinks would probably be great too. Water tonight ?

My family and I were recommended this by a local because it was in walking distance. We are not from the area so we trusted her and we're thankful we did. I got the fried chicken sandwich (spicy) and it was delicious. The chicken was fried perfectly. It had the perfect amount of coating and it was well seasoned and juicy!! The coleslaw on it wasn't too wet so it didn't soggy up the sandwich. I also got the truffle fries which was a $2.00 upgrade. They were really tasty. The only critique I have is that they were a tad bit greasy, but overall I rate my meal a 9/10. I would definitely recommend it!!
