This is an expensive place to get a basic cheap burger and fries. Highly overpriced and everything is an extra cost. The staff was a group of young people more interested in goofing off with each other than serving customers. Very disappointed in 2 hamburgers, 1 order of fries and 2 drinks for nearly $30. We won’t be back and interfere with all the horsing around of the staff!
This is a fun place to go! If you time it right, there is sometimes live music. On Wednesdays, they let you keep your beer glasses.Food is good, and the burgers are big enough that my wife and I usually split one. Cheese fries are $2 off during happy hour.
We were passing through town and decided to try this place. The burgers we had were really good. However the place could use a good cleaning. The floors, tables and items on the table seemed to be covered in a layer of grease. It could use a good deep cleaning. I had the Western Burger.
I'd rather order at the table but it's fine. It probably cuts down costs and staff. Sweet potato fries would be a great addition. I enjoy the different pickles. The lady at the bar was great tonight ☺️
Had a waygu burger but wasn't really impressed. The fries were great as were the pickle selection. I also really enjoyed the cane sugar soda options. My husband ordered the twisted apple margarita (I believe that is what it is called). It was really and I mean really good and I'm not much of a drinker. It tasted like my apple pie filling. Next time, I'll go with a standard beef burger.
I ordered the "Freshman 15" and substituted the regular burger for buffalo. The menu states that they cook all burgers to medium well unless otherwise requested.. it was dry, but I'm not used to eating red meat that cooked, it could've been my fault. My daughter ordered the Classic Burger and she said it was good. The atmosphere was terrific, very cool little place. The kid at the counter was quite friendly but since you order at the counter and then pick it up, you don't really speak to the staff.
Tried Twisted Root for the first time yesterday. Had the Le Wagyu burger (Swiss cheese, thyme caramelized onions, brioche bun) with a side of onion strings. Ordered their peppercorn ranch for dipping and it was soooo good. The fried pickles and pickle bar were delish. French fries were just okay, wouldn’t get them again. Onion strings were BOMB. A little pricy for what it was, but enjoyed it nonetheless
Exotic meat burgers, great bar tender wish I could recall her name. I wasn't too hungry so I only had a side item, what a side?! Fried Green Tomatoes were fantastic! Look forward to going back there if ever in town again.
Love the pickle bar! Love that they have diabetic friendly options... it was delicious! I had the Mexican Salad with a beef patty, yummy! And fried pork skins instead of fries, delicious! Thank you Twisted Root for a NOT boring old salad! My husband got the Lotsa shrouds Burger with fries, it looked delicious!
Dietary restrictions: Diabetic friendly choices, fried pork skins instead of fries
After eating at the Twisted Root in Mansfield, TX, I thought I would treat my daughter to the experience in Shreveport. The burger was OK but dry. The restaurant was not the same in terms of cleanliness. We arrived on a Monday at 11:30 am before the lunch rush. The floors were sticky and there was a definite smell of soured something lingering in the air inside the restaurant. We decided to eat on the patio because of the smell. All of the tables outside were sticky and covered old food crumbs as well. The experience was similar in taste but not on par with experience at the Mansfield location.

Wow this place is a hidden gem. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was really good and wish i had time for the bar but i couldn’t this night. Definitely a great place to bring the family or friends. Place for the kids in back to run around was a plus
Kid-friendliness: Small area for kids to run around.
Parking: Parking lot was a good size for the restaurant
Second time in two weeks. I had the Mushroom and Swiss with onion rings! Awesome place to to have a good hamburger no matter the fiber. Vegan Beef Chicken Buffalo Ostrich Alligator and a few others. Not to mention the burger of the month and pickle bar! If craft beer is your choice they have a revolving big screen to satisfy all IBU tolerance levels.
Very cute place with friendly staff.Their food was nothing I’ll rave about, but decent for the price. The fries were better than the burger. They have a pickle bar, which is really cool!
My favorite burger is The Kevin Bacon it was packed w flavor and fries taste great - they have a pickle bar tucked in the corner sooo good - this location has a bar area great for game days - if I had a complaint it would be wish they had bigger drinking cups
This was a pretty cool and delicious burger bar. You walk up to a counter and place your order. *Advise: look at the menu online and figure out what you want, before getting in line. The burger choices are never ending. And the protein choices are numerous From buffalo to chicken, and everything normal to exotic in between. You can custom create the burger of your delight if you cant make your mind up one of the many unique burgers they have already created. You choose your own table, and then go pick up your food when your gizmo vibrates. The sides were really good. I was with a group of 8 and we all ordered different sides. The crackling (pork skins) were good, the fried greens and pickles too. Oh, and there was a pickle bar!!! Many variety of pickles for your consumption. The atmosphere is casual, sports bar, with a musical memorabilia vibe. I would absolutely go again the next time I'm in Shreveport/Bossier area.
