A friend suggested we go to Up For Brunch on Saturday. First thing I noticed was how cute the building was how cute it was. Once inside there was a nice vibe. It wasn't too crowded when I got there at 11 but people slowly trickled in and it was filled both inside and their outside patio. Folks were coming in and steadily to pick up large orders. My friend ordered the 3 pancake platter that included 3 fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, homestyle potatoes with a side of cheesy grits while I decided on the fish and grits meal that included a mini cornbread waffle. I also had a pineapple mimosa. The food was absolutely delicious. I had to post on facebook and tik tok about this restaurant and my experience. If you see this post you need to try this place.

We visited Up for Brunch on a Sunday morning in October 2025. The atmosphere was good, the service was fantastic - our server Kim was so nice! We ordered the board for 2. The food came out hot and good. My only negative feedback is the fruit cup on the board included canned pineapple and thawed frozen strawberries- would have preferred fresh fruit, but overall the experience was good. Will definitely be back.
Updated: Long post, but necessary. Visited the same location again on a Sunday in November 2025 and had a different server. She was nice enough, however a different person (I think one of the managers) brought out our food and when we asked for butter for the pancakes, that person told us butter was an additional cost of $0.50 for each tiny container of butter. By no means do I care about the $0.50, as our bill for 3 ppl is usually at minimum $70 plus a tip, however, I have never gone to a restaurant where I was charged for butter at all. This felt discriminatory due to the fact that there is no mention on the menu of an additional cost for butter and of the many times we have eaten there, we never once had a server tell us that there was an additional cost for something as small as butter. Also, when we questioned other staff about this charge, they stated there was no additional cost that they were aware of - which solidified our belief that we were discriminated against. While we enjoyed our previous meals there, we will not be returning. When a customer chooses to dine at your restaurant, you should not discriminate when it comes to who you charge for certain items. If the charge is not listed on the menu, it is extremely unprofessional to cite a cost, especially if it is something so minor.

We frequent the area about 4 times a month going to the local casinos and spend anywhere between $60 to $100 a visit at this establishment for brunch. One of our favorite items are the waffles and pancakes and after ordering them we asked for butter like we usually do. We were quoted it would be .50 per small serving !!!! We kindly reminded I guess it was a manager that bought the food out as often as we come here we have NEVER BEEN TOLD WE HAD TO PAY FOR BUTTER AND WE COME PRETTY OFTEN !!!! Then she quoted “Oh because of the cost” How do you tell a customer something like that when how unprofessional that you condiments cost you money ???? I promise I will not be back and you lost loyal customers because you want to nickel and dime about a not even half filled cap or butter really …. If butter is going to bankrupt you then adjust the prices accordingly and NO WHERE ON THAT MENU DOES IS SAY BUTTER ( not even extra butter) but butter cost .50 HOW RIDICULOUS.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but flavor is trying to be there but not being there at the end. Fried chicken was too simple , the mini waffles were not good ,every bite felt like biting sand. Potatoes lacked flavor, in general it was ok but many items need to be improved , also that pineapple was from a can, not fresh.

Staff is super friendly and helpful. Not a ton of gluten-free options but they are very knowledgeable about accommodation. I had the breakfast tacos. 3 on corn tortillas, had to knix the potatoes. She said rhe seasonings had gluten. They were excellent! O could only eat 2. They were very filling! Hubs had the shrimp and grits and raved about them. Said we needed to bring the family next time they visit for a grits fix! He also said the cornbread waffle was excellent! We will definitely visit again!
