Waffle House

This location is in south Shreveport on Bert Kouns. Eat here occasionally when I'm in the area. Food has always been great as well as the service. If looking for a quick filling meal right off I-49 then stop in.

Wear a coat!!! It's cold inside every Waffle House, but they serve hot food! Nice meal.

I have to share this, I hate doing reviews because I have a business of my own , and I know how hard it is to run one , but this is not acceptable . My 3 boys and I visited this location on Christmas morning, the restaurant was very busy so I waited in the car with 2 of my kids , while my oldest (16) waited inside for a table . After 20 minutes he came outside and said we can come I he had our table. When we returned someone else was sitting there, an older man. My son told him we had been waiting , and he had already been sitting there and told the waitress he was just going outside to get his family. The waitress name was Kat , she told the man he could sit there anyway . I also told him I had saw him arrive just a few minutes ago , he walked in front of my car . He didn’t care and was not getting up and the waitress did nothing. A nice lady behind us gave us her table . So when Kat came to our table for drinks I asked her why did she give the table away so fast , I come there all the time and that has never happened. She responded rudely saying she doesn’t hold tables and she has no control over where people sit so I just asked her nicely if I could get another waitress and she said I will have to wait for another section because this is her table and will just get the manager and walked away. She then returned saying the manager was too busy too talk to me and wasn’t coming . I told her , I never asked for a manager , you did…. Then I said can you just take my kids order and again she just walked away. The next thing I know Shreveport SPD walks in and tells me and my kids on Christmas morning that we must leave or be arrested . I asked why and they said because I had been asked repeatedly to leave and I said I have not been asked to leave once. To treat people this way is not acceptable , the manager called the police on me and my kids without ever talking to us or even looking in our faces . Her name is Jennifer. Jennifer has many complaints on mistreating customers at this location and it seems she has a bad track record as a manager. Waffle House you will and must do something . I am a business owner, a disabled veteran and a single mom , I Joe anyone deserves to be traded this way

The manager decided to tell the entire dining room to shut up. Seems she couldn't hear herself yelling out orders to an overwhelmed staff. Tes, she yelled, top of her voice for everyone to "shut up."Not a very clean waffle house and mixed clients from gang bangers to church goers. Skip this place if it is a busy time.

Always busy but worth the wait

Waffle Houses in general are underrated. This one stands above the rest. Staff are always fast and professional. Never a long wait despite how busy they are.

The only reason for the four stars in the atmosphere is because no one goes to a WH for atmosphere, its a dinner. Unpopular native Shreveportian opinion WH is better than Strawn's. How can you be a breakfast dinner in the South and constantly out of grits... That's like going to a steak house and they say sorry we're outta fillet....

Anyways if your traveling down the I-49 corridor and need a pitstop this is a great WH with great service.
