I enjoy coming here. They are always fast and friendly to everyone. Juan is super sweet and kind. He helps with any questions you may have and is really helpful. I always get the enchiladas and they’re delicious and tasty. Keep up the hard work!

While lunch prices are reasonable, staff seems to hate their jobs. The older server is never friendly nor does he offer customers a smile. As a result, I always feel like I am not welcomed. I ate lunch there this week, and my coworker actually made the same comment to me. She said they are not going to stay open if their servers keep treating their customers this unpleasantly. Another coworker asked if we could go ahead and order since we are on a limited lunch break. He was told no and gestured that he needed to tend to another table. This was strange since we arrived before the other table. Your food is good but inconsistent. I always get the nachos and my meal that day literally had only 10 chips. I’ve gotten this meal several times with much more generous portions. I won’t pay $12 for 10 chips barely covered with chicken. My friend actually laughed when he saw my plate. He said he would definitely not be back. While I’m sure I will be back, I hope the customer service issues will be resolved.

The inside is really big even though it looks small from the outside. Very clean, excellent service and super nice staff! The food was excellent and food came out quickly. Really nice bar with great happy hour. Definitely recommend.

Always lets us come in and eat even though they are closing in 5 mins. They still seat us which is nice of them. Food is great. Friendly staff.

I say this with all the love in my heart-please take the crawfish enchiladas off the menu. Or drastically overhaul the recipe. It would be a 5-star otherwise. We’ve eaten at Gonzalez’s many times! We loved everything else, but the crawfish enchiladas are borderline criminal.

Nothing special about the food. Actually it could use some spices. Half way through the meal waiter asked if we were ready for the bill a little pushy for an empty restaurant. Basically eat at one Mexican place around the area you've been to all. The guy singing was to loud. You couldn't have a conversation during your meal. Take a light jacket to wear.

Best lunch in a long time! Tried for the first time based on coworker's review of the Columbia location. Ordered steak and shrimp from the menu cooked medium. The salsa is amazing! I could taste the roasted flavor of the veggies. The steak & shrimp were grilled to perfection. Steak needed no steak sauce at all. The entree came with the fluffiest baked potato I've had at a Monroe area restaurant. Oh, and the margarita was nothing to complain about. If you haven't done so, check out Gonzales Mexican Restaurant in Sterlington. You will not be disappointed!

Outstanding service from Mr Alex food was fabulous bathrooms was clean unlike most Mexican places i have ate at i normally only eat Mexican food travel around for different ones. This place was outstanding and that pink sauce. That was with the taco salad was fabulous had to get extra for my burrito food was fabulous. Burrito tex something but outstanding kids loved the beef. Quesadillas sec time going to one of these i would.not recommend the location in rustin

My wife and I tried this place. It is a fairly new restaurant. Sterlington is a little town north of Monroe, Louisiana. This makes 3 Mexican restaurants within about a half mile. I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere inside. It was very clean. My wife ordered a Burrito Gonzales. My wife really liked it! She stated that it tasted fresh. I ordered the sour cream enchiladas. They were pretty good. The meal ended up costing us about $40 for two people. That included the tip. The meal prices are very reasonable compared to the other restaurants in town. All in all, Gonzalez is a pretty good addition to Sterlington. Give it a try if you haven’t tried it. You’ll be pleasantly surprised!
