Came here with my family, and waited for my son to get here while we waited for a table for nearly 30 minutes with free chairs and tables everywhere. They didn’t seem to bother setting up a spot for us and they wouldn’t even let us sit anywhere at all. The front desk receptionist looked miserable and there’s leaves and dirt in the front door’s reception area where no employees bothered sweeping it up. I counted 4-5 tables open and they kept us waiting as they were “setting up tables” which made the wait even longer.
Don’t bother coming here in a large group, you won’t be served.

Worst food we ever eaten.
Soy sauce was your salad dressing.
How gross.
Do not recommend this restaurant for NO one.
Cook your food at home.
Even if you can't cook.
Microwave anything would be better.

From all the dim sum places I’ve tried in NOLA, Panda King is the ONLY place that has rolling carts for the food options. I really appreciate this since it’s a traditional aesthetic for dim sum that gives off an authentic vibe. The service was nice. The inside was normal, but clean. The food has always been great! Especially the shui mai & fried taro balls. The only downside is that they don’t tell you how much each food item costs. You would have to pick from the cart, and the servers will stamp on the checklist for the price. You don’t know the price beforehand. Aside from that, I don’t really have any other complaints. Yummy House is a really good spot too, but they unfortunately don’t have the rolling carts like Panda King. Overall, Panda King will always be an original West Bank dim sum staple.

Working as a chef is my job at northshore, and i know how hard to keep up business running ! I was shocked to try LUNCH buffet as CAJUN style at panda king , they have pig feet , turkey neck , even crawfish shrimp , gumbo , jambalaya, and tons of Chinese dishes as they popular before! Everything is amazing , all good is so fresh and juicy ! They can compare n dominate those CAJUn food with AMERICAN Cajun seafood store surround this area! With 14$ for lunch buffet is bargain price with this economic because every thing is go up the price! We will and should come back to try dinner with ALL New Menu again ! Once again , I am very appreciate with whole team They work hard to bring fabulous to this WEST bank community

This was our favorite spot, they called themselves upgrading, but it’s terrible. They’re gnats & fruit flies all over the buffet especially the fruits, salads, sushi, desserts. It’s disgusting and inedible. For 3 kids and 1 adult they have upped the prices, so I paid $125. Which is crazy in light of half of the buffet being inedible, and gratuity being included. I see why it was empty. Definitely my last time visiting, ruined my daughters birthday.

Not what they used to be. Restaurant used to be filled to the brim with people for dim sum weekends, so the push carts were fast moving and the foods were fresh. Today, we went around 11:15a on a Sunday and service was lackluster. We’d eat one or two dishes from one cart and wait long for another cart to appear. Fried dishes were cold, and they didn’t have many dishes we were looking for like the pork buns, shrimp shui mai, crab meat on the half shell, etc. Won’t be back.

First time here for the buffet and it was not good. Orange chicken and General’s were hard and burnt. Other food items just did not taste good, bad flavor or not warm enough). I would not eat here again. There is a better buffet near the expressway and Academy.
