if you've been on the fence ab trying...what are you waiting for?!?! TRY URBAN EATS NOW...we have eaten here a few times and every single time the food was even more delicious than the last. portions are always a very generous size. my favorite was the party plate ooooo weeee those rotel dip egg rolls are ?? like who even thinks to put that in an egg roll and fry it?!?! GENIUS i tell ya. so dang good!! its like eating at your grandma's house home cooked and made with LOVE and you can taste it! thanks for bringing some good ole soul food to our little town!! will definitely be back for more!

Owners & staff were very nice. The place gives out cool vibes with the r&b music playing in the background. Food portions were generous but they should probably ease up on the salt. That being said, I will give them another try simply because of the good and positive attitudes of the owners/staff. I wish them all the best with their cute little cafe.

This place had the best urban, food platter i have ever had!!!! Service was fast and friendly!!!! The GM, Mr. Brown, was phenomenal!!! And very friendly to the customers! I can't wait to come back for more great dishes!!!!

Very disappointed. Not a place you make the same mistake twice. The tell tale sign should have been that the couple ahead of us, and their 2 kids, barely touched what they ordered. A fresh coat of paint and some new tables and chairs can't make up for poor service and bad food. Lipstick on a pig. Unfortunately our enthusiasm for trying a new place died once we stepped in. Forget the chipped plate my sister's undercooked wings and "packaged mashed potatoes" were served on, or the undercooked chicken and waffles that my other sister and I were served, or the lack of friendliness or even a smile from our main server...or the lack of ventilation...or heat on a very cold morning...you tried...now stop or rethink your business plan and try again. And good luck.

From the daily lunch specials to the shrimp and grits & hamburger steaks; food quality is outstanding and perfectly seasoned every time. Besides that service is expeditious and so friendly. If you've got a hankering for Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles but can't get to Los Angeles, Urban Eats is the spot and it's conveniently located in Thibodaux. Tasty brunch favorites are available all day long with generous portions and plenty of culinary flare. I dined on the delicious shrimp and grits that had a slightly smoky yummy undertone and already I want some more. The service was excellent and the music playing gave me a speak easy type of vibe. Dine in and you might be fortunate, like I was, to meet the owner who inspired me to work hard and shoot for my dreams.

1st time going 10.23.21. The inside was full but waited until a table was available. They were short staffed so we cleaned our own table which is why the 5 star is not obtained on this review. But I am sure they would have cleaned but we just opted to clean it ourselves because it was busy. But it was all worth it...the cashier and cook on this day did an amazing job. Food was hot and prepared as ordered. They were very polite with us. Keep doing y'all thing Urban Eats Cafe. I will definitely return when I am back in the area. So see y'all soon.

I had a amazing experience at this place!!! Awesome southern soul food you can’t find anywhere else locally... the drinks were delicious! I had the watermelon strawberry lemonade! Servers were very attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed!! I had to wait just like any other dine in restaurant but my food was hot and tasty ! & We’ll definitely be back!
