A very nice little Café-Restaurant situated in an old bank-building. We had an excellent fish/seafood dinner acompanied by fruity Pinot Grigio. For desert we had KeyLimePie... also delicious. Unfortunately we are passing through this area, so we will not be able to come back. Yet we highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to taste perfectly prepared fish and seafood. ???????

My first ever Shrimp and Grit experience!!Blew me away.I’m a southern girl and was never enticed by the combination. I couldn’t get past the two things going together.Omg… with a side of the Brussels sprouts (a personal favorite) I will be a fan for life. With the service, atmosphere and trusting the rep of the chef I would order anywhere else from my first impression.I am still hoping to have a soft shell crab sandwich there one day. It’s what attracted me to try them in the first place.By the way it was where I went for Lunch on my Birthday!!! A gift in itself all with cuisine! Awesome.

Absolutely amazing!! We stumbled upon this quaint little Cafe and were blown away!! The building is an old bank; beautifully restored. The service was very fancy(something I’m definitely not accustomed to). I don’t have words for how good the food was. Absolute perfection!! Definitely will be going back.

This is a great little spot to grab lunch if you're not in a rush. The building has a lot of history and it sets the atmosphere. The food we had was excellent. I'm keto so the wedge salad with blackened chicken was perfect. My friends both had the Cuban sandwich and it looked amazing. Definitely will have to return soon!

I loved the atmosphere here. It’s a small but well kept upscale dining room. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had the stuffed pork chop which was more like two pork tenderloin chops sandwiching this wonderful stuffing. Totally not what I was expecting but it was a big bang of a surprise eating it. It was wonderful! And that sauce, so good. The potatoes were cooked well like I like them, they had a nice crunch. And the corn grits were a great addition. The owner came over and asked how I liked things and was very nice. We had a great conversation like we knew each other from long ago. Everyone here was no pleasant. I wish it wasn’t so far away from me it would be a go to place for me or when I want to impress friends. It is definitely on my list of places to return to so when I’m in town I will try my best to come back. Give this place a try it’s definitely a winner!

Had dinner at Cafe Evangeline a few nights ago with friends and we all really enjoyed this restaurant. We each thought the food we ordered was excellent. Very nice ambiance. We had great service and enjoyed chatting with Jake, the owner. Prices were extremely reasonable. We received our orders promptly. My wife and I had crabmeat stuffed trout and crab cakes; both excellent. Our only disappointment was the lack of a meaningful wine selection. The only Chardonnay choice, for example sells for five dollars a bottle on-line (yep, we looked it up on the spot!). Granted, a glass was only five dollars but I'd rather pay twice that or more, as most restaurants charge, for a nice middle of the road wine like J. Lohr, Kendall Jackson, Chalk Hill, etc. Jake thanked us for coming when we were leaving which I always appreciate. Will definitely be making the drive there again.

Chloe and Salina are wonderful. Food was great. The place is historic. If you are traveling through Ville Platte you have to stop here.

Great venue in a very old building. Food and drinks are good and prices reasonable. With the stop in a small town with limited sit down dinners

Great food, sensational drinks, awesome appetizers. The inside of the restaurant astonishing, and the courtyard with New Orleans ambiance.
