Red Cardinal Desserts and Cafe

The coffee is excellent, and the pastries are delightful. I wish I had more time to go through the menu, everything I tried so far kept me coming back. Prices were in line with expectation for a coffee shop. The coffee and sweets were worth the price.

Service was great, I enjoy the human interaction vs order money product ty and good bye. The staff had quality interactions with each customer.

I did not dine in at any of my visits but found the cafe to be warm and aesthetically pleasing. Looking forward to coming back for lunch.

My wife and I were very disappointed in the quality of the smash cake and cupcakes for my son's first birthday. The smash cake was suppose to have a duck on it, and the frosting was all uneven. The cupcakes were uneven with the frosting all messed up. My father-in-law picked the product up on Saturday right before his party, so we were stuck with using it for his party. I went to get a reimbursement the Monday after his party and they told me they could only give me 50% back cause we did not have the product to give back to them.

My friend and I really enjoyed trying their gourmet sandwiches and salads. The atmosphere is friendly, comfortable and the desserts are delicious!! They also have a coffee drink menu that I can’t wait to try next time. If you’re around the Welsh area just plan a trip there, you won’t be disappointed!!

We used Red Cardinal for our wedding catering for both dinner and dessert, as well as hosted our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant in their banquet room. I cannot sing their praises enough, Shelby and her staff were amazing through the entire planning process and the events themselves. The food, drinks, and desserts were all amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests about how wonderful everything was. They were so easy to work with and so kind to accommodate in any way they could. We had people with allergies and were able to make sure everyone had an option for dinner. Thank you so much Shelby and staff for the wonderful experience! I would absolutely highly recommend catering any event with them, or just stopping in to eat!

I totally adore everything about this place! The interior is absolutely beautiful, making it perfect for small meetings or for a change of scenery while working on a project. And let's not forget about the amazing food and coffee options! I recently ordered a birthday cake here and it was a perfect 10. I usually drive to Lafayette to get my favorite cake, but now Red Cardinal is right up there in my top 2. Overall, every experience I've had there has been absolutely phenomenal!

I had the patty melt and mom had a hamburger. Both were excellent!! This is probably the best patty melt I ever had!! The meat tasted like a fine juicy ribeye. The hamburger was a lot better than Dairy Queen and Parish Seafood, and the prices are reasonable. We loved our meal!!

I had to work late, so my husband went to the cafe tonight for his dinner and picked me up a salad and a cupcake. (Sorry that it’s half eaten”!) omg ya’ll this salad is the bomb! Great portion, fresh ingredients, and I just have a feeling this cupcake is gonna top off my night. We will be back! So happy there is a new place to eat in town!
