I’ve always loved bbq west , but my family and will not be going back it’s really gone down. The beans looked as though they were a week old the potato salad flat no taste, the sliced bread was a very very thin piece of bread. They never have hamburgers anymore, I ordered bbq chicken it still had the neck on it ,which is a first for me. So good luck with the bbq business you will not get our business again . Podnuh’s is just down the street

The very worse food and service ever. When I mention to the staff about just how bad the food was she said I am sorry. Did not care for my concern. Sadly but true was NOTHING positive about this place

Today is Labor Day, so hubby and I decided to eat bbq. So I. Decided to check out BBQ West in West Monroe. I hadn’t been in years but couldn’t remember if it was worth it. So I decided to go. The place was steaming hot when I entered, and there was flies flying around. I pick two three meat plates it totaled $34.00. Everything was awful, the meats taste like day old meat, dry as hell!!!! Potatoe salad had nothing in it but mayo and mustard with big hunk of potatoes in it. The little piece of bread was okay but way too small. Never again. Total waste of money. Dry dry dry

This place has good food but it's hard to tell if they're open or not I work at a sign shop HD graphic at 1000 North 18th Street in Monroe and I was telling them that we could do some signs
for them and it would show to help them get some business

Can't say enough good things! Go see them for your catering. It was PERFECT!!! And they were so, so friendly and helpful. This is local business done right.

I've ate here for years. Loved more than the other place up the road. But here recently they never have anything. No toast, no soda machine, no bottle cokes, no potatoes, no po boys... Nothing. Then I paid 75$ for 5 plates for my family. Just chopped beef sandwiches. No ribs or anything special. They have lost there minds. I will never go back.

As much as I hate writing this but hopefully it will help. Great people! But ordered today a sliced beef plate with two side to be beans and a chopped beef sandwich plate with two beans. After paying they brought my order it was two chopped beef sandwich plates not what I ordered.
Told em I would take the order as is. But when I got home and opened my order I found two sides of beans and a chopped beef sandwich sitting in a bed of beans. Both plates looked the same. Sure don’t like seeing what is going on here at BQQ West. Almost looks like they are going out of business.

Usually out of things. I’ve been and they’ve been out of beef. I’ve Been here to eat and drink machine not working. Ate with nothing to drink that day. Simple things like fries and Poboy bread…out! This is a regular thing here now! Unless new owner steps up, I don’t believe the doors will remain open for long.

Worst meat, I’ve ever eaten. Brisket so tough you could not eat it and some sausage so undercooked it was awful

Can I put “0” stars? New owner = closure as far as I’m concerned. I’ve eaten Brisket Poboys here since the place opened. New owner has removed them from the menu. No homemade bread. No Poboys. This was never my bbq place to go. It was my Poboy place. That’s all I’ve pretty much gotten since day one. Place was empty! Deserted! No customers. No food out like normal under both previous owners and management. Place looks old and dirty now. Very dissatisfied. My last trip there. So sad to see a place that has been a staple of the eating establishments in West Monroe gone. They still have the same great employees there as the only positive I can say.

These guys have recently upped their game. Love what they have done to their sides! Everything we got, the beans, potato salad and coleslaw were really good. BBQ was good as well. I am so glad we decided to stop in again. Staff are all friendly and helpful. They appreciate a kind word. Hope you enjoy you next visit.

Could be a little clearer. The food wasn't as good as in the past.
