We are from West Monroe but first time eating here; will not be back. Ladies restroom was filthy, eating area was filthy with food on floor and flies. Very poor service from staff. Prices are unreasonably high; portion of meat on $10.00 hamburger did not cover bun... My bf describes it as "hefty prices and wimpy hamburgers.
The staff is extremely attentive and kind. I saw them cleaning frequently and staying on top of keeping stuff sanitized. The food was delicious! The sweet treats were amazing! Definitely get a carmelita and have them warm it up! Ahhmazing. The gelato is so creamy and something you cant get around monroe and west monroe! Definitely recommend! Support small businesses!
While traveling through Louisiana to Texas we had to check out Ms Kay's resturant and Duck Commander. Well I've worked in the food industry 40+ years. I got a club sandwich it was good and hubby got a burger. It's what I witnessed while eating my lunch. The girls where brushing there hands through their hair then handling the food. One of the girls had black gloves on, she wiped the floor with a rag, handled food, put food in her own mouth, worked the register, drank a drink and played with her hair and NEVER once changed her gloves. Also her shorts were very unprofessional. One of the ladies brought our food out on a tray then threw the tray on the counter like it was a problem to bring our food out. Also the counter wheresweet treats are on display has no sneeze guard or type of case for these items to be in, so flies can land on them and people just standing in front of this case, food needs to be protected.I just think some of the staff needs some restaurant training.
I’ve never had a bad experience there. The staff is great. I’ve never seen it not clean. I live in the area and eat there when I can. The grilled cheese burger (not cheeseburger) is my favorite. But the pulled pork is amazing, too. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, though. And their breakfast is awesome. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.
Cute place, food was good, expected I expected chips or fries with the burger or sandwiches. Table was sticky and throughout COVID-19 I think it needs to be very clean after ever customer. Staff is not very knowledgeable about the cakes. Took 25 min for the food and we were the only ones there. I'll go back but girls in there need to be more on top of things, especially these day.
The staff here is friendly and the food is amazing!!! There is a nice and at home feel to this place.
What a wonderful morning!! Everything we ordered was delicious, the staff was top notch, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. I can’t wait to come back!!
was disappointed in our visit sad to say because we had our Hope's up to eat fresh tasty food due to it being the wonderful ms Kay's place. I wanted the pot pie so bad I could already taste it. I went to order it and they told me it wasnt ready yet. I said that's fine I'll wait. then they told me oh well we are not having pot pie today. even though they still had it on the menu. so pretty much I was lied too which is a very big no no with me. so then I ordered the pull pork.
Great atmosphere & awesome food!!! One of our best local hidden little gems!! ♥️♥️
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere! The portions were huge and worth every dime. I had the pulled pork sandwhich and it was amazing, I shared the mac and cheese with my 1 year old and he enioyed it so much! The pecan pie was wonderful! Excellent all around! Thank you Mrs Kay! We were from out of town and had just happened to meet your son Jase a few minutes before we went to eat here. He was so nice when we asked for a pic! Such a great day!

Delicious burgers and yummy pie! Great customer service as well! I cannot wait to go back!
We were on our way to Gulf Shores, AL and had to stop by for some dessert from Miss Kay. We’re big fans of Duck Dynasty and found out Miss Kay opened this awesome spot. The cinnamon bun was fresh and fluffy and came piping hot from the pan, delicious. We didn’t get a chance to meet Miss Kay, as we came pretty early, maybe next time.
Had a cheese burger with pepper jack and the burger n fries were great. Blue berry custard pie for dessert and a glass of tea !! All was fantastic. Service was great too !
Located in the downtown area; we parked on a side street and walked over. Very cute and trendy style. There is outdoor and indoor seating (we went early March, but I can imagine this being a popular place in spring and summer).
I love the atmosphere at Miss Kay’s. It’s so comfy! And the food! Delicious!!
