The food was good, although my tamale was store biught, not made in-house as I had hoped. The Chili Relano was not stuffed, but laying on top of some chicken. The guacamole was delicious. Being in such a small area, they need to do better with the food. They could also spruce up the decor. It looks very old and very tired.
I've been going to this place for quite a while, and let me tell you, the food here is unlike any other place, it is some of the best Mexican food I have had in a while, the staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is pretty cozy.
My husband and I order from San Marcos pretty much every week, always getting the same thing (he orders one thing and I order another). We each have our own certain request for our orders every time, and since we order it the same way each time, I seldom have to say what I want to order, or how we want it prepared if Erica is the one who answers the phone when I call to place our order.
