I am a south Louisiana transplant to North LA and the food here is awesome! Crab legs and shrimp seasoned to perfection!! The steak is great as well!!
I’ve had great experiences every time
I came in at one and was immediately told that they were closing in a few minutes. Oh I said the website says 2. She said oh yeah I’m just in a hurry to finish up. I asked if I had time to get a lunch she said yes. Ok then… I ordered. She brought my ticket before she brought my food. I’m not a baby so don’t call me one. I used to enjoy eating there but after that and a drive through experience going totally bad I’ll think long and hard before coming back.
I called to place an order for 3 fillets and fries and was informed it came with an additional side, so I added étouffée. Under the impression that I was ordering a single meal, I was not given the price over the phone. Upon arrival, my husband and I were surprised to be charged $65.21. We clarified that we ordered 3 fillets, not 3 fish platters, but were told that’s not how they handle orders. If this was the case, why not tell us this over the phone. My husband decided to pay and leave. Overall, the experience felt misleading, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone visiting Winnsboro.

Ordered fried pickles for a snack. They were way overpriced. I won't be going back. 12 dollars for pickles is outrageous even in today's economy.

When you have customers coming to your restaurant spending a minimum of $75 per visit on a Saturday evening you would consider their feedback. My husband and I were there this Saturday he was served a bad steak which was so hard and tough that neither he nor I could chew it. We spoke to the staff concerning it the person waiting on us told us, “there is nothing that I can do with that” Just wanted to tell you we are trying to patronize local business but we don’t have to. The most powerful selling tool is CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! walking around saying, MY BABY does not make it okay to tell us we have to pay for a bad steak and have no other concern or care And by the way we paid our bill In full left the whole steak on the table…. now what are you going to do with that ??? I’m sure you threw it out just like I feel we did with our money we spent there Saturday night. Will I be back probably so because we live in Gilbert and sometimes don’t want to drive to Monroe or Natchez but not to soon. BLESSINGS TO YOU!! Apostle Dr. DeWanda Owens
I have been doing business at this place for about 5 years
But ever since this place has had new ownership it has went down hill
Paper menus
I came in at 10:15 am
They said they was no longer serving breakfast
That they stop serving at 10:30 am
The waitress said they was out of biscuits
I will not return to this restaurant I drive 25 miles to the waffle house

A visit to Shay’s was an absolute must while on our trip from Arizona! The food was incredible and so was the staff! Very accommodating to our party of 10 and the food was everything we had hoped for. Thank you guys for the amazing food and service, can’t wait to come back on our next visit!
It took a really long time to get our food. I asked if the seafood was boiled in crab boil and they said yes with their own spin on it. It tasted nothing like Louisiana crab boil. They called it swamp dust or something. It tasted like dirt and black pepper. I went to the counter and ordered fish and fries. It tasted ok. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad. I probably wouldn't come back.

Got boiled shrimp they came out already peeled obviously frozen, got 10 pounds of crawfish that was inedible because of dry juiceless and hard to peel, fries were the only good thing, should have went to Crawdad hole in the first place, happy Memorial

We were in for breakfast, the food was really good. The only issue I had is that the menu prices need to be updated. When we got our ticket everything was higher than listed, then even higher if paying with a credit card.
Shianne, was a great waitress who appeared to love her job. The ultimate surf and turf was perfectly prepared and the atmosphere was very
