We usually have a great time here. This most recent experience was different. The lattes were covered in honey (the outsides of the cups too), the food was good but not up to it’s usual standard (egg white undercooked, soggy potatoes), service was lacking (couldn’t get someone to bring butter), it was very cold inside (had to keep on our coats). I showed up on a busy Saturday at 11:30am, was quoted a 70-90 minute wait time. I went next door to the bakery to grab a drink and wait. By 1pm I received a text and was seated at my table. Me and my friend were crammed into a small table with about 6 inches between the tables directly next to us. The atmosphere was incredibly loud, both due to the large crowd and overhead music. This Egyptian restaurant is incredible and I highly recommend it!!! ❤️ But be warned, and make a reservation during the week. We went on the weekend when they do not accept reservations and waited 70 minutes for a table.
They have a small, theme-decorative area 2 doors down at the yaz bakery.
